I never mind saying sorry if the mistake is mine but if some one wants me to say sorry for others mistakes that is impossible for me.

I would go with that ! If I am in the wrong, I make it a point to say sorry and try to make amends as and when necessary. However, when people try to force a sorry out of you by trying to make you feel guilty about something then, no I dont give in ! ;)

That's what I mean not at the cost of self respect.

I say sorry to any one without any kind of hesitation but there will be few people who have ego , though mistake will that persons only but they won't say sorry as they are egoistic
