Though we cannt avoid plastic completely in our daily life..its good not use plastic bags and plastic utensils for our own health...
I think Goverment has a rule about the thickness of plastic to use.

Yes there are norms but people don't follow them.Government should be strict for it. :)
Now plastic bags are not given as free items in big shops like big bazaar and MORE. We have to give rs.5. It received warm welcome, as people began to carry their own plastic bags for shopping to avoid extra charges

It is a great move. If they receive 10Rs also i encourage it. This will create awareness of taking bags for buying items

Yes of course.
By this way, plastic bag consumption is very much reduced in our state.
People will never want to lose Rs.5. Isn't it....?
If more items, they will have to spend more. :) :) :) :)

Also, there is restriction in the thickness of plastic bags in all the 5 corporations of Kerala

Imposing fines and making plastics items costlier will definitely reduce its usage. However, to effectively reduce its usage, I feel that an alternative to it needs to be produced. Though jute and paper can replaced it to certain extent, they are not useful in certain cases.

Plastic bag consumption is reduced in your state is a very great news. People will never want to lose their money.

If anything is free they were never minded to receive it.
Do you mean PPE products used for packing? Without plastic products the life can not be imagined today. Yes Polythene should be banned for packing.

Most of the cities started to avoid using plastic bags. :)
Plastic is really a dangerous thing in this nature. We can also say plastic is a curse to the earth and small animals.
80% house hold items would disappear if there is no plastic. Yes we can ban the PPE from packing material.

Yes i agree with it plastic is important for us as most of the house hold ites are made from it without which we can't imagine to live. But if we ban it in packaging then may be we would be able to reduce its usage.
In my childhood, we don't have any shopping malls and hence we didn't need any plastic carriers for big shoppings. That time, man's needs were only small and I still remember, we buy things from small shops and newspapers were used for packing them. We used to carry bags for shopping....even for fish markets....
Ladies used to carry a carrier made of palm leaves.....also, since refrigerators were not common, it was daily purchase of fish and vegetables
I can't see such containers anywhere now....
I always carry with me one cloth bag to avoid use of plastic bags.
Wow Kumaresh ji thats good habit you have. By reading this, i got inspired and i also try to avoid plastic bags and try to carry cloth bags

Most parts of your computers are made of plastic/hardened/industrial plastic. Just think life without most kitchen appliances, TV, wiring even fridge. The subject should be whether we need plastic made packing material.
