Though we cannt avoid plastic completely in our daily life..its good not use plastic bags and plastic utensils for our own health...
I think Goverment has a rule about the thickness of plastic to use.

Yes there are norms but people don't follow them.Government should be strict for it. :)
Now plastic bags are not given as free items in big shops like big bazaar and MORE. We have to give rs.5. It received warm welcome, as people began to carry their own plastic bags for shopping to avoid extra charges

It is a great move. If they receive 10Rs also i encourage it. This will create awareness of taking bags for buying items

Yes of course.
By this way, plastic bag consumption is very much reduced in our state.
People will never want to lose Rs.5. Isn't it....?
If more items, they will have to spend more. :) :) :) :)

Also, there is restriction in the thickness of plastic bags in all the 5 corporations of Kerala

Imposing fines and making plastics items costlier will definitely reduce its usage. However, to effectively reduce its usage, I feel that an alternative to it needs to be produced. Though jute and paper can replaced it to certain extent, they are not useful in certain cases.

Do you mean PPE products used for packing? Without plastic products the life can not be imagined today. Yes Polythene should be banned for packing.
