In some parts of India Dowry is still asked from the parts of the bride. In some places they fix how much cash they have to give,what things they have to give,how much they have to spend for food and lightings.These is really bad they know it but they still do it. :evil: I don't know why?. :blink:
yes, in most of the marriages the guy parents demand money for making marraige and then they demand dowry . this is really bad. they wont even think how the girl parents provide them the money
Where do you live SJ sir, in most such cases all relatives of grooms are enjoying free boarding and lodging behind the bars and paying heavy penalties in shape of cash and jail. :blink:

Even me too sunil ji, i already decided that if i have a son or daughter, i won't give dowry and i won't take dowry. If they want dowry then they should not demand, how much i want to give as gift to my daugter and son in law i give and i won't take dowry from daugter in law too.
I would have done the same way if my kid is a boy. But she is a girl. So, sometimes, we need to adjust to the society. Whatever my parents have given me, it's for her.
I have already told my husband, "I won't allow marriage for her, on a contract written, to pay a certain amount after 1 or 2 years of her marriage. whatever I have I will give her, no problem. But will never make promise that I will give her this amount of money after 1-2 or even 5 years of marriage. Search a boy according to that asset only. In case, we are not able to give her that money, they will make her life a hell!!! They won't count what they have got. But will take into notice, only that amount to be given. "
