In fact many of the Schools and organisation start giving this as a regular courses to both boys and girls.But their parent think that why this is needed for a girls.
This thing has been initiated long ago when i was in school.......we were taught Taekwondu those days and it was an enriching experience.....learning self defense builds a sense of confidence in you.......
I am sorry to say yes. This question should not be there in the first place as this shows that our women folk are not safe in here and they must learn ways to defend themselves. But this is a hard fact and they sure must learn how to defend themselves.

Obviously a lady should learn self defence to protect not only herself but also her child. Defencive techniques and studies of ancient books of knowledge like arthashatra and holi books can make them understand the world better.
I feel every female should learn self defense as crime towards women now a days are increased. women to protect herself should need self defense. how students are been teached languages in the same maner self defence also must be teached and practiced then most of crime percentage will become low
