We too have had this system of seperating garbage since a few years now. In my own case all kitcehn waste is made into manure so we have only other stuff like plastic and wrappings..

We too have had this system of seperating garbage since a few years now. In my own case all kitcehn waste is made into manure so we have only other stuff like plastic and wrappings..
We too have this arrangement here. The garbage collected from the households is transferred to dumping yards located in the outskirts of the city. There the corporation authorities sort out the garbage and sent to different salvaging agencies.
That sounds great. But in some localities, these dumping yards are present next to schools, offices etc. Government should take stern action on this and shift dumping yard to outskirts. This keeps environment of that locality itself clean.
As a rule, dumping yards are to located in the outskirts. In Metropolises, this rule is strictly adhered to. But not in municipalities and villages.
