No matter how much exercise one does, it is far more important to control ones diet to lose and maintain a steady weight. According to dietitians losing weight successfully involves 80% diet and 20% exercise and even more importantly intake of water..Not eating a chocolate bar saves nearly 300 calories weight gain while walking briskly for one hour make us lose anywhere between 200-250 calories, which goes to show the importance of  balanced and planned diet .Drinking water 15 -20 mins before every meal helps in controlling what we eat ! Being on your feet and active helps ..

A combination  of Physical exercise or Yoga, eating green vegetables, pulses and fruits avoidance of Red meat will definitely work for losing the weight.  Generally people drink water when thirsty. Drinking water frequently will improve the digestion  process. In addition to this having enough sleep will make one refreshed. Eating Whole foods and avoiding processed foods will contribute a lot in weight reduction. Above all,  one should have Positive attitude

As age passes by, our body needs less amount of food. But hardly do we notice this fact. Controlled diet should be main strategy to loss weight and remain healthy. Increase in weight leads to many diseases and discomforts including knee pain. Fiber content in diet should be increased. By this way, it takes more time to digest, and we feel hungry less. Consume fruits, instead of juices, which save fibers.

Always spend more time to have your food. By this way you consume less amount of food. I always drink a little water before having food. It helps me to consume less amount of food.

Yoga and exercise can also help you. I read somewhere, anxiety, tension, depression etc can make you eat more than what you actually want. It results in weight gain. So stay happy, to reduce weight. :)

Finding the balance between your physical activity and your food intake is what is important for maintaining the weight. We need to make sure that even if are not able to set aside some time for exercise, we should make small changes in our lifestyle to compensate for that .. for eg taking stairs instead of lifts, walking small distances to shops etc instead of taking a vehicle, involve in household activities like washing and cleaning instead of using the washing machine and vacuum cleaner (not completely but a small portion we can do manually) and also playing with ur kids or grand kids. 

But then as they say, practice what you preach... but i never do most of these.... not regularly.. may a day or two i will do.. and then i am back to square one. So i would say another main focus point has to be consistency in whatever little you do.

according to me balance between nutritious food and physical activity is very important.

I usually eat healthy food like lot of fruits, vegetables, and salad. Also consume meat and fish twice a week, usually I avoid eating fried food like fried fish, fried potato chips, etc.. I think junk food add more unhealthy calories so I try to avoid eating..

however sometimes we all feel like eating something junk , at time I involve myself into more physical activity like walking ir running for extra time than regular routine

some people do hv habit of eating junk food when they r stressed out.. Ione should avoid getting too stressed out if has to reduce the weight .

From time to time you get to hear of some wonder drugs or food items like oats and now apple cider vinegar that is supposed to help one reduce and maintain weight. Personally I would think that it is a combination of many things that help in weight management. More number of smaller meals with plenty of water in between is the most effective in my experience.
