We create public facilities but no attention is paid to their upkeep subsequently!
In Delhi, Two days after a passenger bled to death after falling into the gap between a platform and a train at Nizamuddin station, receiving little medical help, Northern Railway on Saturday directed all five stations in Delhi to ensure basic emergency services - including a 24x7 ambulance and an "emergency equipment room" containing a stretcher, wheelchair and a gas-cutter among other facilities.

Be positive
yes, railway people arrange facilities for public but further they won't maintain properly

Slow and Steady Wins the Race.

It is a good news that railway stations implemented the 24 hours medical service with amblence. but the fact is it will work for some days nd it will not keep on practice continuously.

No matter how much one has progressed there is always a scope for development and the same rule applies to the Railways. It has to go a long way to achieve the under achieved...!
metro trains are becoming introduced in india. this is good that railways is improving. but still it has a lot to learn from china and japan where the train travel speed is comparable to the airplanes.
It's extremely important for the Indian Railways to ensure and improve the very basic services to the passengers!
maintenance of the machineries and facilities are the challenge to the railways. how many times have we seen people recklessly destroying the fans and seats in the trains.
That's very much true! Tragically we destroy the very assets we pay for!
unless this attitude and mindset gets changed, we cannot blame the railways for being not able to provide first class facilities.
