You are able to maintain the speed and performance of your laptop after following these tips.

1. Liquids - Try to keep away from laptop

Every person has the habit of drinking tea, coffee, milk, normal water and other kind of liquid substance very near to laptops. Some time you may drops your laptop on ground by mistake. To avoid this type of accidents, use a plate under your drinks. It will save your laptop from unwanted drops. Your drops fall on your plate rather than your laptops. These liquid drops are very dangerous. It damages laptop's motherboard or any internal electronic parts. You may lose your data due to short circuits. This data cannot be recovered in future days. You want to protect your laptop from these liquids.Avoid drinking liquids near laptops. You need to restrict your relative, friends for enjoying liquids near your laptop. 

2. Your laptop must protected by an anti-virus

The largest number of viruses are entering your laptop during downloading. This virus is going to corrupt your data. When you operate your laptop, it may create hardware or software problem. Performance of your laptop becomes worst. You are not able to operate the software in an ideal way.

3. Food particle may harm your laptop

Eating is a good habit but cannot make you laptop your dinner table. Eating near to a laptop, you are going to destroy your laptop. Food particle falls on your laptop. It will fill your laptop with strains, oil and dirt. Many times you wash your hand and start handling your laptop. This is not a good way of handling a laptop. You need to use cloth and soak every drop of water on your hands. If you touch laptop with wet hands, use a small piece of cloth to clean water from your laptop.

5. Laptop screen needs to be protected

Suppose that you finish your work on the laptop. Now you are going to turn-off your laptop. At this time, remove every small thing from laptop keyboard. By doing this you are going to protect the screen of your laptop. If you forget rough things on your laptop's keyboard, it will make scratches on your laptop's screen.  You need to take care during pressing of lid. Keep your finger in the middle portion of the lid. If you continue to use lid by one side, it will create pressure on the lid's hinge. You lid bends in one direction.

6. Move laptop from one place to another by holding its Screen is a bad option

Many laptop's owner has a habit of moving the laptop by holding its screen. If you want to move laptop from one place to another lift your laptop by holding its base surface. Holding laptop's screen creates pressure. As a result you may damage your laptop display. Don't give such type of pressure on the laptop's display.

7. Power cord - Need proper handling

It is not a good idea to remove the power cord of laptop from the socket board by pulling. You have to remove the power cord with the help of your hand. The force pulling may harm or damage your laptop's power socket.  Many people like to play with the wire of the laptop's power socket if they sit near to the electricity board. Avoid such type of activities. By this activity laptop's power socket become loose or you may bring a situation where you power socket breaks.

8. Laptop cord - handle with care

Many times laptop's battery cords breaks due to lack of care. If you use a laptop on the table, you have to stick your laptop's cord in any corner of a table by using tape. Many times laptop's cord fall on ground floor. Your laptop's cord is not secured to the floor. Even a chair leg scratches you laptop's cord.  

9. Laptop slots - Use in a proper way

You need to take proper attention during inserting external devices into laptop's slots. Every slot in your laptop is indicated by symbols. You need to look these available symbols before inserting external devices into the slots available in your laptop.  Suppose that you try to insert a USB device into slots provided for Ethernet, it will destroy your Ethernet port.

10. Removable drive - Need proper attention

There are two drives available in your laptop. Floppy or DVD drives. These drives need special care. If you become careless, your drives may get destroyed. If you use external DVD writer, you need to place at some safe place. You need to purchase a storage box for storing External Devices. You are going to use DVD/CD in your laptop's DVD drive, insert DVD/CD carefully into DVD drive. Inserting DVD/CD in the wrong way. It may jam/lock your  DVD Drive.

11. Insert CD/DVD with proper label

Many DVD/CD is labelled by papers. You need to insert media with proper label. You need to avoid media with loose label. It might lock your DVD drive. Try to avoid media that is not suitable for your laptop's drive. It may damage your laptop's drive.

12. Rapid change in temperature is not good for your laptop

During winter season outside temperature is different from your room temperature. Suppose that you reach to your home with your laptop, you need to allow your laptop to adjust this temperature change. It is not a good idea to turn-on laptop during this temperature change.  Avoid using the laptop under sunlight. It may damage your laptop. 

13. Travelling by Car - Never forget your laptop inside your car

It is not a good thing to forget the laptop for longer periods inside your car. Car temperature is not good for your laptop. It may damage your laptop. It also invites thief. They can easily take your laptop from your car

14. Internal Dust - Need to be removed or cleaned once in a year

You need to clean your laptop internally. Regular use of laptop invite dust particles. If you are able to do cleaning, do it otherwise you need an expert person in the field of computer. Your laptop cooling system is damaged by these dust particles. Your computer generates large amounts of heat due to a bad function of your laptop cooling system. As a result it may damage your laptop's motherboard.

15. Using a laptop for keeping books or other heavy things - Avoid it

If you are using your laptop as table, stop this activity. Using laptop upper part for placing heavy books, avoid it. It may damage the display of your laptop. Apart from screen, other internal parts like CD-ROM may break. 

16. Size of laptop bag must equal or bigger than your laptop

You like to travel from one place to another with your laptop. It is natural as well as important. You need to buy a laptop carrying bag that is bigger than your laptop. You have to look laptop comfort. If you use a smaller laptop bag, there is a chance of scratching, compressing etc. Always prefer a comfort bag for your laptop.

17. Laptop carrying bag - Select the best one

In many cases a laptop breaks because you may drop your laptop. To avoid this drop you need to buy a laptop bag. This bag saves your laptop from dropping.

18. Never use your laptop in the compact place

Always use your laptop in properly ventilated room. The room or place is not compact. It is full of air. Proper air circulation is needed for your laptop. You laptop becomes heated because you are using your laptop in the compact place. 

19. You need to clean your laptop's exhaust fan and display

You can use a soft tooth-brush to clean laptop's fan and screen. Exhaust fan of your laptop need regular cleaning. Exhaust fan full of dust may overheat your laptop.

20. Using a laptop on rough surface - Avoid It

You need to select part of your room that is flat as well as clean. This place is ideal for placing your laptop. This condition is not available to each and every place. You cannot remain at one place. You have to move from one place to other. If you find a flat surface, use available surface. 

21. Avoid bed for operating your laptop

Using the laptop in bed is not a good habit. You need to change this habit. If you are placing your laptop on your bed each and every day, your laptop exhaust fan starts sucking dust particles from your bed. As a result, Exhaust fan stop working in a proper way. You need to change the place of your laptop on regular interval of time.

So make sure that you are using latest version of windows operating system on your pc to have smooth file transferring mode for your windows 8 phone and avoid any kind of problem.

How to create playlist on your Windows 8 phone?

Now sometime you need to play some specific group of songs on your phone. And for that obviously creating playlist of that group of songs is the best way. Also on windows 8 phone playlist is the only thing works well for this purpose. 

But let me tell you, creating a playlist on windows 8 phone is not an easy task like other mobile operating systems. Creating playlist directly from phone is bit hard thing but you can do that easily from you windows based computer. Let’s learn both tricks for creating playlist of songs in windows 8 phone from pc and from your phone directly.

Creating playlist from your windows based computer: Just plug your windows 8 phone with your windows based computer. You will immediately notice files transfer wizard of your windows phone (like drive) on ‘My Computer’. Just open it and go to the location where your music files are. Now select particular group of songs of which you want to create playlist. After selecting songs right click on any song and select ‘create playlist’ option and give name of playlist as you like. After creating playlist you may find different name of that playlist (something like new playlist) on that folder than you have created but don’t worry on your phone you will get exact name of playlist what you have created. So that’s it, just disconnect your phone form pc and checkout in the music player playlist option, you will find out new playlist which you have created with your selected songs. By similar way you can create multiple playlist on your phone from pc by just selecting songs and enjoy particular group of songs directly. This is the easiest way I found to create playlist on windows 8 phone.

Creating playlist directly from your phone: Well, I will advise you to go for above method if you have large number of music files on your phone as with that large database you may find it hard to create playlist directly from your phone as there is no easy method given for the same on windows 8 phone. Now there is one ‘now playing list’ option in windows 8 music player whenever you select particular song or album. You can always add any song on this list. But let me tell you this list will be automatically delete when you restart your phone. And also there is easy way to delete that list by playing any video on your phone form music and video section. I am telling you about this ‘now playing list’ because only easy way to create playlist of particular songs is by this thing. You have to add list of songs in this now playing list and then you can create playlist of those songs. So obviously it is important to clear this list before creating new playlist and I have already explained above how you can clear this group. To check either there is any song in ‘now playing list’ or not is just press volume down or up button when you are on windows menu and if there is any song in that list then you will get the name of it otherwise that action will only raise or decrease the volume. Now just go to songs and select songs one by one of which you want to create playlist. After selecting from menu button click on add them in now playing. By this action it will play one of the songs you have selected, so after this from menu button select create playlist option and give name to it. That’s it. As you have added selected songs in ‘now playing list’, that whole list can be created as playlist by this way. You can checkout playlist section and you will find out created playlist with your selected songs on it. By similar way you can create another playlist. Just make sure that you clear ‘now playing list’ before creating new. As I said finding your music files for selecting them for one particular playlist is bit harder when you have large number of songs. So that’s why I have said better you go with your computer for creating playlist as it is quite easy.

Note:- Windows phone 8 operating system is little complicated. As whatever way you have used for creating playlist, you can’t edit those playlists after you have created once. I mean you can add new songs and delete particular song from any playlist. You have to create that playlist from starting by selecting the songs again. So it is really boring task.

Creating or selecting any song as ringtone on your windows 8 phone

Now creating or selecting any song as ring tone on your windows 8 phones is not direct thing like other mobile operating system. I mean you can’t directly select any song as your ringtone. For that you need to attach your phone with computer. But surely trick is quite easy once you have connected your phone with pc. You just have to copy your songs or ringtones on the ‘Ringtones’ folder which is available in the phone memory (not in SD card). Just make sure that the song or ringtone which you are putting in this folder is less than 30MB in size which is surely not hard condition. And as I said you have to put them in to folder which is available in the phone memory, so it is advisable to put limited collection of music which you want to use because phone memory is limited thing which should be not completely full.

Note- Make sure that you use your PC for moving files into Ringtone folder as it will not work if you move your music files directly from your phone. So better you use your computer for the same purpose.

Tip for putting music on your windows 8 phone

This is my personal view and way which can be helpful for finding out particular music and play particular group of music. Make sure that you put particular group of songs (for example putting one movie songs) with same album details and art (album picture). By this way you can easily find out that particular group of songs directly from album section on your music player. And with album picture you can easily recognize that songs album from your album list. So this is the way I use when I used to add songs on my windows 8 phone. That’s work fine for me and it surely reduce my timing for searching particular song or group of songs. So hope it will work well for you too.

What is tethering and reverse tethering for smart phones?

Tethering: Tethering means we can share our internet with other devices in different ways. So tethering from phone is we can use our phone's internet on pc and other devices. As I said these days on new mobile operating systems we are having default tethering option. So you don't need to install any kind of third party application either on your phone or on your pc. You can tether your phone's internet on pc in different ways that we will see later on this article.

Reverse Tethering: Reverse tethering on phones means we want to use our computer's internet on our smart phone which is reverse thing in compare of normal tethering on phone which is actually sharing phone's internet with pc. Here you will share your pc internet with phone in case you don't having internet or sim card on your phone.

Ways of tethering and reverse tethering?

Via Wi-Fi: This is the easiest and very useful. You can tether your internet via wifi hotspot. You can even set password for setting the same thing so that you can restrict users for joining your hotspot. You can join as many as wifi enabled devices on your created network and can share the same internet on all devices. Same goes for reverse tethering where you have to create wifi hotspot on other devices for getting internet on your device. You can imagine the benefit of this.

USB cable: This can give you fast tethering option without any kind of interruptions. You can connect your phone to your pc and have your phone's internet on your computer. Same goes for reverse tethering too. But here you can join one to one device. Here you can't join multiple devices like you can do with wifi hotspot. But it is also having its own benefit which we will see at the benefit section.

Via Bluetooth: This thing can be also useful for certain devices, but you will surely get less speed in compare of USB and wifi connection. So it is least in popularity, but still can be useful on certain time and with specific devices. This is also limited and can connect to one device at time.

Benefits of tethering and reverse tethering

Well, if you have read above explanation well then I think you can understand benefits of both tethering and reverse tethering easily. Using tethering you can share your phone's internet with different devices. As per way of tethering there will be different advantages. I mean using wifi you can connect multiple devices while you will not able to connect multiple devices using USB cable but you can get maximum speed using wired connection. Bluetooth can be also helpful for certain devices as some of them only have bluetooth technology. So each of them have different advantages for tethering and reverse tethering. The main advantage of tethering is you can share your single internet connection with more devices. Tethering and Reverse Tethering in different mobile OS

In Android: Tethering in android is quite easy. You will get all options to tether your internet in the setting and network option. You don't need to download any third party application for tethering. You can use all three ways wifi, bluetooth and USB for the same purpose. Reverse tethering in android is harder thing than normal tethering. For wifi reverse tethering you need wifi router for creating wifi hotspot of your internet connection for sharing it with your mobile. You can also use connectify kind of software for the same purpose. But for USB reverse tethering you need to root your android device and have to install some third party application to have reverse tether on your android phone. So it is little difficult thing for the normal user. But I am sure in near future this feature will be also available by default in android by Google.

In IOS: Just like android, IOS (by Apple) has also provided all tethering option from their iDevices. You can find out portable hotspot option in the setting from where you can get all three types of tethering option. You can share your iDevice internet via wifi, bluetooth and USB. No need of any third party application for the same. Well, earlier version of IOS was missing this option. Now reverse tethering with wifi is having same procedure as android phone mentioned above, you can follow it for IOS too. But reverse tethering with USB is difficult one here too just like android. You have to jailbreak your iDevice and get some third party application for getting reverse tether via USB. 

In Windows phone: Now even Windows phone is having this option. Windows phone is quite new mobile operating system in compare of above two OS I mentioned. Well, this option is quite helpful and important feature for any phone. So it can't be ignored. From settings, systems and internet sharing option you can easily share your internet using wifi. I don't know if there is any option available for sharing internet via USB cable or Bluetooth. Wifi reverse tethering can be achieve by same procedure I mentioned in Android section. But USB reverse tethering option is unknown yet to me. Well, this phone OS still new for me, so I am not having more information in compare of IOS and Android. But I will update as soon as I will get information related to it.
