What's the main attraction of Bollywood oldies?
If you are a fan of Bollywood old movies and music, this question is for you.
Why do you love old movies? I mean the golden era of 1950s to 1970s. For its story, direction, acting skills or music - the major fractions which together forms a movie. In what ways are they superior to movies of today?
In my opinion - Music, music and only music. I think majority of the movies are remembered for its music, which melody lovers can hear any number of times. It's followed by great legends for their flawless acting skills. All other factors line up next only. What's your opinion?
About fashion, technology and choreography, films of today are far advanced comparing the era of 50's or 60s. Also, many experimental themes are well received by audience, and they are more realistic than melodrama type movies of yesterdays. But they can never match classic themes chosen by Raj Kapoor, Shantaram, Bimal Roy and Guru Dutt for oldies. If we compare masala movies of yesterdays, films of today can well match with them. Do you agree?
