This is how things work in Switzerland ..

Switzerland is probably the most democratic and perfect nations in the world today. the major concern that people and the leaders have is to make their country safe and peaceful. Crime rate in Switzerland is very low because of the strict measures they take , totally disregarding any other factor except what benefits the country and its citizens the most , they also have a large number of naturalised muslim immigrants who have been living there for generations ... I wish other countries, especially our own followed suit rather than appeasing some and condemning others for their own selfish interest !

Muslim school students in the Swiss canton of Basel cannot refuse to shake hands with their female teachers on religious grounds, otherwise their parents will face fines, local authorities have ruled.

According to the department, if students refuse to shake hands, it means that they involve others “in a religious act.”

“The social gesture of a handshake is important for the employability of the students later in their professional lives,” it said.

Here also the result would have been same if not better. Here also people want to work and earn. Why do you have such low opinion about your fellow citizens and great regard for foreigners.

I have no blinkers on after having seen of the work culture here and way the grand old party and its allies have popularised freebies here ... They would not hesitate for a minute to vote for such a proposal where they get a steady income sitting at home, that I am sure of ..You only need to see the way old age pension, widows pension etc are abused ..

You can add 'Swatantrta Senani' pension in the list. I have yet to believe that people who took part in Independence Movement are still alive or if the did they must be over 90 at least. But when I see people handing over their "Swantrata Senani' free  travel pass to bus conductors they don't look like more than 50-60 to me which means they were born after independence.

Yes that too...every single scheme is abused and misused here.

Abuse does not define the whole system. In Switzerland also more than 20% voted in favour of the scheme, but here 20% or less catches your attention and you start abusing everyone. Sure blinkers are on. Everywhere you only see Sonia.

Now it is clear who has the blinkers on ..I leave that to you since you are so obviously enamored by the lady that you cannot hear any facts against her and anyway here she is not the subject but the Indian freebies popularised by Congress party during Indira Gandhi's time.

Still looking / waiting  for an answer, do not take cover of the lady and duck away. At least the lady does not run away.

The lady considers she is above answering anything , anyway that hardly matters now, does it ? There are plenty of immigrants in Switzerland who have got the status of citizens and I am told most of them voted for..Also India is a different story and while we all know that what is the problem in admitting it..

It is sad that many like to eulogise foreigners and condemn their fellow citizens. That has been our tragedy since centuries.

If such a thing has been happening for centuries , I guess there must be some deep rooted reason behind that !

Upper caste Indians looking down upon lower caste Indians and aligning with foreigners to further malign them.

Nature's law... Survival of the fittest ! However, things have reversed now with more benefits being showered on the so called lower castes at least in our country !

What logic to defend oppression. Hats off to you. Justice is still far away.

No one in their sane mind would want to remain suppressed forever regardless of the caste or class, they are bound to retaliate. So , there will be change in power structure. If they don't fight for their rights , they suffer !

History is full of examples where by force or otherwise vast majority have been suppressed for centuries by few. So please do not leave the onus on the downtrodden to escape moral responsibility. A nice ploy to deflect guilt by upper castes.

that is why India is not progressing in their thoughts of developing his own country while other country getting progressed day by day.

How did the subject turn to caste??? Still fail to understand! On another note, these low caste people are selling off their rich, cultivable lands to builders for nice tidy amounts and go vacationing in foreign countries where there low caste standards raise their heads when they spit in public places, wear unkempt clothes and make a mess in general. Guess that makes nice image of our country, so to speak!

We Indians regardless of caste and creed are champions at spitting whenever we feel like. I am constantly reprimanding students not to spit around the school campus, more so now because of Ramadaan fasting . Even otherwise this is a national shame , seen only in India..

Indian atmosphere is full of dust and that is also one reason why even persons who do not chew tobacco frequently spit especially those who remain outdoors for long time. Yes they should exercise restraint when in cleaner atmospheres.

I experienced the practice of spitting while I was traveling in a Bus. The person who was sitting before me spat through the window. It came and fallen on me. The person who spat simply laughed at me and gave a free advise that i should  have closed the window shutter.
