Years and decades .. we have been talking about how corrupt the political system has been and who is the most corrupted. Good to see we are talking in good terms of something happening.... and most importantly people liking what is happening around them. The oath - a commitment to the country - taken by Kejriwal should get stronger... since "change" is something that requires a lot of patience. And for some good change to happen, we should also start bringing small changes that is good for the nation.
Change at first will be looked with suspicion. Then it will be frowned at. The greatest changes that took place h ave gone through all the phases. With time, it will be given its due place in the pages of history.
Yes, anything new is always viewed with suspicious especially when it is so large scale and effects the entire nation....Either way today Kejriwal and his party AAP is a force to reckon with...
My father says, the reel Nayak - where Anil Kapoor played the lead role of becoming the CM - looks like becoming the real Nayak where Kejriwal has brought the momentum.
Indeed he has ! Kejriwal has brought hope for a much needed change in our country . Once people realise that there is a better option they will go all out to support him...
Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

A false impression was created by the rulers, they are the only saviours of this country. And this belief has been on the rounds for decades. Kejriwal has shown how baseless that belief was. When there are options before the public, certainly they go for an alternative. And I consider this act of AAP as groundbreaking act.

The Kejriwal effect seems to be growing day by day so much so that even the senior politicians seem to be taking a few lessons from him.Vasundara Raje has not only cut down on her security , also has refused a government bunglow for her use ... Wonder if Mayawati will bring down all those statues of hers with handbags

Vasundhara Raje has set a good example by refusing the bungalow and hopefully many more follow their suit! But I doubt if Mayawati will ever do that, firstly because she is a very vain lady and secondly she belongs to the section that keeps crying about how good things were always denied to them and so she won't give them up now! All her statues will eventually need to be seen as an example of what one should never do while in power! :woohoo:

It appears that we are giving undue importance tro simplicity. The simplicity is also in many case more expensive. Once Sarojanai Naidu commented that simplicity of Mahatama gandhi costs a lot to nation. No doubt, corruption and scam are totally undesirable. Unnecessary and wasteful expenditure also needs be avoided. But there is no reason why the politicians and bureaucrats surrender their just entitlements. The politicians as well as bureaucrats are entitled to certain monetary and other facilities. They are entitled to accommodation of certain type. There is no reason why they deny what is entitled to them according to rules. What we expect them is to give full justice to their job, work efficiently and honestly and aslo get in return what is entitled to them.

I agree, the politicians and bureaucrats are certainly entitled to monetary and other benefits but those benefits should reflect their responsibility too and also should match the overall circumstances and culture of the country. For example, in a country like India where millions go hungry every night and thousands of children die from malnutrition, the President lives in an extremely lavish mansion that requires crores for its maintenance makes no sense! Other more affluent and developed countries in the world allocate much simpler and less expensive accommodation to the state leaders!

Here rules are made by people and the older politicians who made these rules have seen to it that they can live a life of luxury where all expenses are taken care of with the top politicians flying around in helicopters and living a life of luxury whereas the nation itself is poor. This was an unfair practice which was made into a rule which Kejriwal rightfully is questioning by his stand. We should laud it and encourage them to change such practices bringing in simplicity so that the politicians dont think of themselves as super humans. This very practice brings in unwanted criminal elemnets into politics which should be stopped at any rate ...

It is change in favor of people, time will tell whether he will continue these goodies, as currently social network and news are buzzed with his style of functoning, as PM in his press conference told, in the long run all these populist measure will have impact on stare of economy, no one knows who is right, but people like this, and this applies to most states where cms are elected twice or thrice, as there people are conveniently placed other wise how come they are elected time and again? It appears that we are giving undue importance tro simplicity. Arvind Kejriwal has a lot of challenges that need to be faced by him. Let us all hope for the best.

Woh ! this is good news. I hope Delhi would change. Many crimes will be resisted before they are committed in Delhi. Moreover this is practically a difficult task.
