Already a thread is there about Rajesh Khanna.
Yet, I feel I should pay my honour and homage to him. That's why I started this thread...as I believe am the no.1 fan of this super star of Boddunan family.
Yes, he has given new definitions of romance to Indian screen and of course, till now, he has the largest number of lady fans. People waited before his banglow for days to get a glance of this Emperor of Indian Cinema.
He still holds the record of 15 consecutive hits which made him first superstar of Indian screen. He made me a great lover of Bollywood and its old songs.
Today is Karkadaka Vavu, most auspicious day for souls according to we Malayalis' beliefs. Let him soul also rest in peace. He will live in the hearts of millions as long as world and this Bollywood exist.

Great loss for Indian cinema. He was the one who started the stardom in true sense. Hats off to "Anand" who gave anand to millions of people across the nation.
*Anand means pleasure

Also, he is leaving the world like 'that Anand' giving his every fan a distinct mark in our hearts and tears in our eyes.
Not only this scene, some of his songs are also related to this occasion....
Kahi door jab.....Anand
Zindagi kaisi........Anand
Zindagi ka safar........safar
Zindagi ke safar........Aap ki kasam
Zindagi ek safar.....Andaz....
In all these films, he dies whether it's safar, anand, aap ki kasam or andaz..   In all the films, at the climax except Andaz
I was shoched to know he died yesterday. :( Few days back only he returned from the hospital and told public that he is fine.
I read somewhere that these days he was alone and used to sit nearby his phone many hours anxiously waiting for someone to call him. :( And there were the days when he used to have 8~9 phones and they always used to ring and keep him busy all the day.
I pray for him,his soul rest in peace.

But the most happy thing is that Dimple returned back with her daughters and served him till his last breath. He was not at all alone.
Today I read in newspapers, 7-8 girls committed suicide soon after he got married to Dimple in 1972. That was his magic and charisma which no other super hero could attain after him.
I think no one is so natural like him but Kamal hassan and Amir Khan are also some natural actor.
So, you are a true fan of him.
What's your favourite film????
My most favourite is Aradhana.......
Actually, it's the best film I have seen till now.......it was just like a magic. :) :) :) :) :)
I like Anand, Amar prem and Katti patang also.

In the past 1 year.....it's a great disaster to Bollywood....because we lost 3 great Romantic heroes of the era of Golden films and music.... i.e the era of 60's and early 70's (till 75)
Those 3 ever green romantic heroes are Shammi Kapoor, Dev Anand and Rajesh Khanna. One more romantic hero, who represented that generation....Joy Mukherjee......

yes it's are great loss to our bollywood.
All paid great attention to the presence of big B, both yesterday and today. Today, in the traffic block of Mumbai, he and Abhishek had to walk by road to reach the funeral functions at Mumbai.
It's true, Rajesh Khanna lost his fame once action films of big B were appreciated more. He was never able to regain his lost power again

Yes after Amitabh Bachchan's film like Zanzeer,Sholey,Deewar,Trishool,Don Rajesh Khanna had to take the back seat.
Still he did some films like Swarg where his role was appreciated by the people. :)
Even there are films like Avtaar was also appreciated by the audience he was not like an usual romantic hero in this film. :)

It was just a matter of time....
A thread is under discussion now.....should we change according to situations....
If situation wants, we may need to change for our existance. Isn't it?
When action era started with big B and his romatic films flopped, he never tried to change according to the demand of audience. This resulted in his sudden fall. Yet, he managed to give a number of hits later, though can't create the Aradhana magic
