In India films are part and parcel of one's life.I remember my own college days when would see morning shows and the excitement we used to have. Now the films are so bad that you try and avoid them unless highly recommended or you have a personal liking for an actor or a director..

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

Frankly speaking I too have not watched a film in the theater after Skyfall, it is simply not worth spending all that money unless you know for sure that the movie is good...

I think there's difference between you and me. If I have to guess your age from your picture, then I will have to say that I am much younger than you and I am married only for 6 years and still I haven't gone to the theater with my wife.

Does age have anything to do with watching films in the theater ? We don't really bother about anyone's age or other personal details on an online forum, what matters is what you post. Films have always been there and people like different kinds of films depending on their taste and it has nothing to do with age...

I guess you didn't get what I meant to say. And I am fine with what I had to say. I mean, I just want to say that there is some connection between being recently married and going to watch a film in a theater.

Its nothing related to being just married or not even the people who are not married go to the theaters. :woohoo:

I guess it is. There is a certain thrill in watching a movie together when one is newly married. However, the thrill evaporates with time.

You are just presuming about the thrill part of it since you have not gone to the theater with your wife and dont know how it would be right?

Well, I don't know how to interpret it now. It's too late. Let's call it a nine day's wonder. Apart from that I can't express my feelings.

I think there is definitely some kind of thrill involved for newly weds to go to cinema quite often, because I have a lot of friends who just couldn't stop talking about going to cinemas when they got married! Although wouldn't know because we didn't go to cinemas when we got married, we just wandered around art galleries and museums!

I was just pulling Abhijits leg ! :P I am sure there is a lot of thrill in doing things when you are just married since everything is a novelty ! But frankly I would rather go somewhere quite, a beautiful place where one can get lost rather than sit amidst people and noise !

 Well, I don't mind you pulling my leg. But yes, there is something unique in those things that we do first hand in our lives even though we have heard or seen others do it. B)

I never went to cinema though I went to places where I could be alone with my wife.

I believe why to waste3 hours time just to watch a movie.
@Sanjeev- I agree with you why waste 3 hours while you can waste whole life after marriage, jokes apart going to places where you two can understand each other without any interference is much better choice and then you can go to watch a movie in those places, a late show probably.
