Which one /ones would you give up and why ?

Suppose you are forced to cut down on your monthly and annual expenditure drastically, which one/ones of the following would you give up? and why?
1, Watching films in a theater
2, Eating out
3, Buying liquor
4, Using own vehicle
5, Going to the beauty parlor
6, Monthly savings
7,Eating non vegetarian food
8, shopping
9, Holidays

I never buy liquor and never visit beauty parlour. I rarely watch film in theater, eat out or eat non veg foods, go for shopping. May if the expenditure is to be cut down drastically, then I will completely stop those which I do rarely.

I wonder which ones will be stopped by those who do all of the above things....Most people hold to the ones that they like the most even if it is costing them more and give it up only when there is no other go !

That's the right thing one should do. We should try not to spend money on the things just for pleasure frequently. :)

There are alternatives for car usage also. People in a locality will use the car pooling system, where in only one person's car will be used for a week.. The system will be rotated each week and another person 's car will be used. And this rotation eases the expenditure burden on Petrol.

I have never heard of such system. Good to hear. Hope this may really reduce the petrol burden.

Frankly speaking I too have not watched a film in the theater after Skyfall, it is simply not worth spending all that money unless you know for sure that the movie is good...

I think there's difference between you and me. If I have to guess your age from your picture, then I will have to say that I am much younger than you and I am married only for 6 years and still I haven't gone to the theater with my wife.

Does age have anything to do with watching films in the theater ? We don't really bother about anyone's age or other personal details on an online forum, what matters is what you post. Films have always been there and people like different kinds of films depending on their taste and it has nothing to do with age...
