Yes you are right but due to lot of senior leader in front its very difficult to select best PM.

Really the question of electing P.M. will arise only after parliamentary election results. Now this is premature speculation.

True the question will arise only after the elections are over but to answer the original question asked by thread starter
Modi seems to be the best choice.

Even after parliamentary elections, none can predict the suitability of a PM candidate in the present quick changing scenario. A state leader may be successful. Success in a small region doesn't mean success in a vast region.
A worker who begins his journey from grass root level makes a perfect leader. Someone who drops down from sky never knows ground realities. Someone doing good in a state is likely to do good if handed a bigger responsibility.

Suitability is decided by the track record. Again its a guideline. Not a perfect measuring rod. Above all, the prospective candidate should be free from controversies. Lal Bahadur Shastri s an example.
In the parliamentary system, suitability is nothing but enjoying support of majority in parliament.

True. But mere numbers can prove a person's capabilities ?

There is no other criteria. somebody whom you consider capable cannot be PM if he has no majority.

True, I don't see any scope for BJP in coming election so no Modi, he does not deserve since they are no going to reach anywhere near majority.

Unfortunately that's the fact. I'm not denying your statement. What I wanted to say is numbers can be boosted with a price, but not the capabilities.
