Ram not yesu das he is Jesu das a lovely singer who singed Saibaba songs which is my alltime favourites.

No Sasi.....My chettan is right.
Yesudas is his correct name....meaning......das of Yesu....(Jesus Christ in Malayalam)......pronounce 's' as 'ya, ra, la, va, sa,sa,ha

Actually most people are insulting this great singer by pronouncing it in wrong way

its not insult because its not done intentionally its my mistake.

Sasi may be right as the pronounsation differ with spelling in many areas. I know he is Yesu Das and my all time favorite. I get the taste of folk in his songs.

Yesu means Jesus

Do you know his Malayalam songs?
He and S.P. still hold the record of winning maximum National award for best male play back singer category. Female singer still holding the record is none other than Chitra.....I really love her sweet voice...First choice is of course Lata ji...my second choice is Chitra, of course :)

Sorry ...I made a mistake.....Yesudas holds that record singly. Not SPB
Till now, he won....7 times and Chitra 6 times. Both are from my city, Thiruvananthapuram :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

SPB is not a trained singer. Yet, he managed to get 6. So, still among the best three, combining male and female category. Once I was able to hear his music concert...what a performance....whole orchestra combined can't reach the pitch of his voice...really amazing :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Yes..Hariharan sang its Tamil version.
Actually Tamil lyrics are more good than Hindi. So, I love it most....also its picturisation in symbolic form

It was Madhavan's first (actually second film) and heroine Shalini's last.
She married Ajith before the film release. Film was directed by Maniratnam
