Government has the required men and machinery to verify the veracity of NGOs. After getting fully convinced that the activities of some NGOs are really blocking the development of the country go and act on them in a befitting manner. Without this doubting and suspecting every NGO's activities are mere meaningless. And people who are really beneficiaries of the NGO's activities will rubbish such allegations.
IB is part of government and if it is saying green peace is dangerous for development then we have to beleive it is is right. There is no pros and cons of it.

IB report is not the be all and end all. There were several occasions where in the IB reports were scrapped due to lack of evidence. Nothing is fool proof and ultimate.
Time has come when we should not back foreign funded non governmental organisations.

Believing everything and anything is not a testimony of one's true Indianness. Belief based on truth is the testimony of one's true Indianness.

Actually IB is not an investigating agency and not supposed to substantiate reports with evidence. The colect information through own staff or in most cases through 'sources' or informers. Their job is to alert the govt. about any likely danger. The government will act according to IB report in most cases. If investigation is necessary in any case, this will be delegated to CBI who would colect evidence also.

Very true. It means IB report is an indication and an alert. After this, CBI has to come in to picture to investigate and collect the evidence. Till then jumping to conclusions is an exercise in futility.

There is also an image problem. Everyone expects NGO persons to be in chappal with a long shoulder bag walking around. The moment they see them in cars and well dressed and heeled in modern offices, it is assumed that they are enjoying life and are misusing funds and are amenable to foreign influences. The Rightists believe this and are out to make life tough for them.

A deplorable and disgusting belief prevailing in some. I for one whosoever comes for an aid for a noble cause. I ask them for their proven credentials be it a Dhoti clad man or robed in a suite.
