Bhagath Singh is an important character in Indian History. All of us studied about him when we were in school. History can't forget him soon. People especially ladies who are very interested in Bhagath Singh and his character always remember Bhathsingh on every valentines day.
Interestingly, here on this site we are communicating in English and still we are demeaning everything that is western. Valentine's Day has nothing to do with Bhagat Singh's martyrdom. Both are entirely different and can be observed in their own respective way. India has produced numerous Greats but do we celebrate their birthdays and observe their death anniversaries in each and every household then why making an issue out of this particular date.

Yes you are right Valentine,s days have not link with martyrdom of Bhagat Singh, I think in 1923 no one know about Valentine day in India. It was chance that Bhagat and his two comrades hang on this day. It is rule that every hang on executed in the morning but Bhagat Singh hang on in evening, because British government was in hurry otherwise he hang on 15.

In India Valentine's Day is not yet very widely celebrated but if it gets celebrated then even there is no harm. Celebrating love cannot be a crime but how come the birth and death of the national heroes come in the way of personal celebrations.

The fact is that 14th February is not in any way related to Bhagat Singh. The death sentence was delivered on 07-10-1930 and executed on 23-03-1931.
Hence the thread is without any meaning.

Then the thread should be woundup. No point in discussing a meaningless thread and generating wrong arguments.

Thanks for the details and it reflects how much aware we are about our national heroes and still we start a crusade against everything that's non-Indian or rather I must put it this way that is non-Hindu.

Their purpose is to spread animosity and they have done it. They will not apologise because it is done with a purpose.
