Thank God it's at least Prem Diwas but not Matri-Pitri Pujan Diwas

In fact St Valentines day started out as is a feast for St Valnetine , and only later on it became associated with romantic love ..

Who said that common peoples forgot Bhagat Singh. Bhagat Singh also have love with his country and freedom. It is shame for both countries, Pakistan and India that till the day in government record Bhagat Singh is a criminal.

Bhagat Singh belongs to India. He brought honor and respect to India. Its the responsibility of every Indian to uphold the honor of this great patriot.

Bhagat Singh belongs to India and as well Pakistan. One citizen of Pakistan filed petition in Lohor court to chanllage charges against Bhgat Singh for which he was hang on. This person that Bhagat Singh is son of Pakistan and hero of India.

 

 

 

the world is moving so fast that there is only few of them who remembers about the past. today many of them who didn't remember his own mother birthday or his own birthday or his/her love one birthday then how he/she can remember about  syed Bhagat singh.

I was thinking about both and interestingly, I heard that Bhagat Singh's trial in the Saunder's case is still going on in Lahore! Read this if you have time. I thought its quite funny how the martyr, or traitor, depending on your viewpoint is no longer around, but history is still not done with him. Nor is judgement. Ha, Ha.

Imtiaz Rashid Quereshi, chairman of the Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation in Lahore had made the petition, based on his understanding that Singh got unfair deal and his name should be rehabiliated to show his befitting contribution to history. He has asked that streets be named after him in Pakistan, and also that Poonch HOuse the trial was held be converted into a "museum of national history of Pakistan". Now if you're bringing the Valentine's Day connection into this, I think there is love behind our India and Pakistan's shared histories. Not only hatred. And we probably ought to remember this more frequently. You often wind up having the fiercest battles sometimes with those who have a lot in common with you. 

@ Shana Verghese. I hope you are aware that in Pakistan the government has resisted any attempt to name any road or circle after Bhagat Singh for 60 years, classifying him as an Indian?  I wonder how you can talk about valentine and India- Pakistan ? I have been to Pakistan twice in the last 6 years and though the educated welcome you the people are extremely distrustful. 

Its about time the armchair specialists think and listen to practical persons in touch with reality. Thank you for commenting .
