I have been to Hubli where my relative Navy Uncle stays and it is such a wonderful place to stay in the serene atmosphere there. Very silent atmosphere. There is a beach nearby within an half an hour drive.
A couple of saint temples who attained Samadhi are there and there we can feel the environment of Samadhi within the small temple. There is a small river/lake which can be observed in the evening from the bridge above. There we can find birds, greenery on either side of the river and pristine air.
The atmosphere is very pure where we can really connect to mother nature and feel its vibrance, pleasantness and understand the nature beauty which has now been marred by man made things and so called development.
The routine day of people over there goes like this, going to school and work in the morning, coming back and visiting a temple and then the lake/river in the evening spending some quiet and nature filled time and getting back home having dinner and sleeping. On Sundays may be some people visit the beach where there is a big Lord Shiva Temple and a Restaurant just on the waters of the beach. The route towards the beach is also a pretty straight forward narrow route with greenery on either side and some shops in the middle.
There are very few vehicles in the village which makes it a very peaceful village. Small roads make it very connected village.
