Best performance (Female actress) of Bollywood - 2014

Last year we saw some fresh topics and female oriented subjects. There are a few movies where the lead actor was a female and most of them were successful as well. Perhaps 2014 witnessed most female centric Bollywood movies in the recent times of which a few need special mention. Queen was the first successful one, belonging to this tag.

Kangana Ranaut for Revolver Rani and Queen
Alia Bhatt for Highway
Rani Mukherji for Mardaani
Juhi Chawla and Madhuri Dixit for Gulaabi Gang
Priyanka Chopra for Mary Kom
Sonam Kapoor for Khubsurat
Vidya Balan for Bobby Jasoos
Tabu for Haider (Though not a woman-centric movie)

Kangana Ranaut for Queen, Alia Bhatt for Highway, Juhi Chawla for Gulaabi Gang and Tabu for Haider impressed me most. Which one is your favourite?

My Choice is Shraddha Kapoor but she is not in list so i'll choose Priyanka Chopra for Mary Kom.

I can't choose from the list...: because I haven't watched any of these movies..Bobby jassos..i could not tolerate after first 20 mins, same goes for Khoobsurat, yet to watch haider and mardaani.

I think it would be unfair to the heroines..are you sure your list is exhaustive?

	I don't know why people don't like movies like Citylights and Heartless. Well, I think the female actor - Patralekha of CityLights deserves a mention in this list- I liked her performance in comparison to most heroines this year. Also, I think Sonam Kapoor has no knowledge of acting, it is because of her father that she is still in this industry. - Mousumi Ghosh - 10 years ago
	City Streets got mixed reviews....that's why I skipped the movie. Now definitely i am going to watch it. I hate Sonam Kapoor a lot..... She is a disaster even than Katrina Kaif :) - Sandhya Rani - 10 years ago

I have not seen any of the films mentioned nor for that matter any films at all....But, overall I like Kangana and Vidya Balan for their consistency and talent...

@sunil...i am not sure if Malaika has played a lead role this year

@Mousumi....I havent watched Khubsurat...But specified the name as it is a women-centered movie. Opps!! I forgot to add Alia in the list....the most successful female star of the year.....

am going to edit it.
