The scene is from the movie The Ten Commandments, perhaps the one of the first movies to show special effects for which the movie was awarded the Academy Award for Special effects! The scene refers to the Biblical story where Moses parted the waters to enable Israelites to escape from the clutches of pursuing Pharaoh's army!
