If R. D had not given those two songs to Kishore Da?????

Before S. D. Burman fell ill in 1969, he recorded two duets of the movie Aradhana with Mohd Rafi (Gunguna rahe hai with Asha Bhosle and Bahom mein bahar hai with Lata). Later the work was resumed by his son, R. D. who gave its most memorable solo songs to Kishore. It's also rumoured that those two songs - Roop tera mastana and mere sapnom ki rani, which changed the fate of Rajesh khanna and Kishore Kumar were ghost composed by R.D. With the rise of new decade, three great stars were born who changed the face of Bollywood and Bollywood music - Kishore Kumar, Rajesh Khanna and of course, R.D. That was the impact of 'Aaradhana effect', the movie which failed to get distributors after the failure of Khanna movies till then......

Like any music lover, I too wonder, as his father's wish, if R. D. has given those two songs to Mohammed Rafi, what would have been its after effects? Think a bit creative and post some interesting answers please......

I agree with the above answer given by Sunil Sir. The song sung by Kishore Kumar in Aradhana is defintely a path breaking song for Kishore Ku..but even without this song, sooner or later Kishore would have got chance in some or other movie to showcase his talent.

Kishore Kumar was equally talented. He has sung lots of songs which got popular. I feel those songs would be hit if sung by Mohammad Rafi no doubt as the lyrics of the songs were good. Sometimes we like the songs just because of its lyrics and music does not matter who sings it.

You can't keep talent hidden for long. Kishor would have come up anyways. Remember 'tum bin jaun kahan' - Pyar Ka mousam. My all time favorite by any singer.

I love this one in Bengali also

Sandhya Rani Pyar ka mausam released just one year after Aaradhana...So, in your opinion, though Aradhana has not happened, everything would have been the same?

'tum bin jaun kahan' of Pyar Ka mousam was sung by both Kishore and Rafi. Which one is your favourite? I can't point out the best one, because I like the both.

Kishore Kumar was just too talented to be ignored. He would definitely have still made it big.

Kishore's career took a new turn with his song "Man mora bawra" a semi classical song composed by O.P. Nayyar. Nayyar has broken the myth that Kishore cannot render classical or semi classical numbers. It resulted in terming Kishore as a great alrounder.

Although Man mora Bawra was picturised on Kishore Kumar the singer is Mohammad Rafi who incidentally has sung a few more songs for Kishore Kumar the actor...
