Why beauty contests of males not as popular as Miss India or Miss World?

No woman will go to see male competitions so what is the use keeping more than half the capacity unused? Men of course would never appreciate any other men being selected as "Handsome King" (as "Beauty Queen" in women) of the world.

This is male dominated world. So beauty contests iws for men's pleasure. Men are stronger sex and so for them the contest is body building.

I agree with Gulshanji here. For man body building kind of contests are more common instead of other contests you mentioned.. There are few contest but not famous as you mentioned.

Its true to some extent that winning females in Beauty contests hog limelight more than the champions in the Mr. universe or some other body building contests held for males. Actors like Alfred Schwarzenegger of Terminator fame and Steve reeves of Hercules who won the elite titles Mr. Universe fame to name a few who ruled the roost in Hollywood.

Beauty is meant for females so beauty contests are famous for females. 

I think there are similar content for men too such as Gladrags ManHunt..but I guess it is h=not aired on television or somehow I have missed it..but I know such contest are on. It is sad that men don't wish to appreciate the body or looks of fellow men ..hence they are not promoted as much as the beauty contest catering to female or women are.

Beauty contest names itself tells that it is for ladies,if looks good we will say beautiful lady.

Males are viewed as less glamorous when compared with females and could be the main reason for the lesser popularity of the beauty contests.for males.
