The first thing i notice in the song is it's music. Next is the singer and third is the lyrics.

Of course the combined effects makes a song good to hear to..however I give more emphasis to good lyrics..but these days where songs lack good lyrics..i like songs with good music.

Lyrics,tune and picturisation....there are songs which have lost their appeal to me after I watched it and the picturisation was not really upto the mark....But a truly exceptional songs goes beyond everything !

combine effect, without good lyrics, beats cant do anything.....only good lyrics has its magic in the song.....

The Lyrics and the Composition are the main thing. Proper wordings of the song are pleasing to the ears. I love old songs because of obvious reason. Older songs were so magically composed and sung that people get carried away with their emotions, very unlike today songs.

I like some songs only for lyrics. These song have very light music. Listen some time song of old Hakikat, "Main ye soch kar uskey dar se utha tha". I like some song for music and some for picturisation. Watch "Jia ho jia ho kuch bole do"

The rhymes are the best thing in a song for me. It gives the song a good meaning as well as is pleasing to the ears too. And the music in between the two stanzas is another thing that goes for me.
