Dry leaves and twigs make good compost

In fact along with twigs, bark and dry leaves vegetable and fruit peel can also be mixed to make a good organic compost. Adding neem leaves further enhances it

I use all my garden waste and kitchen waste back to my pots in my terrace. I grind them and put them to soil. Instead of burning them and adding to the environment pollution, it is a smart and environment friendly way to use them as compost to benefit the nature

Burning dry leaves is easiest way of disposing. In my area farmers burned residual of crops in fields. Agriculture scientist suggest farmers to mix them in sand in fields. They also said with burning only Potash in sand increases which it already have.

Instead of burning dried out leaves and twigs they should be used in preparing compost, these brown components are rich in carbon and hence help the plants grow well .Compost adds nutrients to the soil and is very easy to prepare at home ,hence cost efficient as well.

Thats the beauty of nature, it provides everything itself. Not only the dry leaves and plants but also the dead animals and insects. They all add to the nutrient value of the soil in one way or the other.

Burning leaves and twigs is actually very wrong and adds to air pollution. Instead spreading them over soil will help the soil grow more rich and fertile as the leaves will decay and form nice humus. Spreading leaves and twigs over the ground also acts as a mulch and will help keep the ground wet and also deter growth of weeds.

I agree natural composting of leaves is a good and best way instead of burning them. Burning of leaves cause air pollution and is of no use to anyone. 

There is nothing like natural  composting

This is very important and a very good suggestion. There needs to be more awareness created with this regard.
