Are persons with high IQ intelligent in maths?

I totally disagree with it. I come from the school of thought- "In the hierarchy of subjects, Dance is as important as Arithmetic" 

Well, that is my personal viewpoint and one may disagree.

But in recent research and especially when Howard Gardener's Mulitple Intelligence concept is gaining popularity or in fact is considered as most authentic one in recent times, we can not give numeric intelligence the superiority.

However, I do agree Arithmetic is an item of human culture and invades each part of human life. 

Intelligence does not necessarily mean expertise in maths.  Every one has talent of different kind. Some may have expertise in language and literature where others more at home with maths. 

Notion of measuring Intelligence Quotient by singular Singular Standardized  test is highly misleading. There are famous Scientists and inventors who struggled with Math. Maths can be intimidating to the most to the point  even to the most brilliant Scientific minds  have trouble with Mathematics.

 I can quote a few names like Michael Faraday, Charles Darwin, Alexander Graham Bell. Thomas Edison, Jack Horner E.O Wilson to name a few.

Of course not...It is not one single factor that makes an individual intelligent but  a coming together of several abilities and a great deal of common sense as well,  which lifts that intelligence several notches because they also become successful communicators . The general idea is that a person who is good in academics is an intelligent person which is far from the truth at least in the Indian context because of the kind of one sided education that is imparted. I have seen that the ones that do brilliantly well in higher studies and latr in their career are those who never got a rank but were all rounders while in school and pre college studies..

I do not believe that people with good IQ have to be good in Mathematics. They could be good in any varied subjects and it does not matter on any particular subject.

No , we can't say that  people good at mathematics can only can Excel in life or can be intelligent because there are many people who are brilliant in another fields but we're very poor in maths and exceled in life.
