Is Unemployment Still A Major Problem in India?

Unemployment is a perennial problem that plagues even the most developed countries like America or China or Japan. May be that an improvement here and a fall there are possible.. Hence my answer is Unemployment stays here in some form or other. It cannot be eradicated in toto.

In spite of growing number of IT industries and related other service industries, construction businesses, unemployment is still a huge problem in our country. Reason is number one, of course, population explosion. And lack of proper education and vocational training. Each year hundreds of thousands of young boys and girls graduate in various degrees, but not even one-third of these numbers are skilled enough to be employed.

This will always be a mojor problem as long people do not stop running after government jobs. There are enough opportunities in private sector but people are sitting waiting for government jobs. They think government jobs are secured, less work and guarantee for life time for them and their future generations. 

Unemployment continues to be a major problem in our country. In spite of abundant job opportunities coming up in private sector, majority of the people prefer government job, anticipating a secure future. But there are fewer opportunities, more aspirants and hence higher competition. The fittest survive and the others are still in queue, expecting the unexpected. 

I think more than unemployment the people not having the right kind of qualification or skills is leading to unemployment. Also, many people learn something during their graduation and take up something entirely different as  their job. So, first the gap between skills and suitable jobs have to filled in to minimize unemployment.

Now the students who are interest to study engineering courses because of the campus interview and for job guarantee. But, most of the persons who are not selected. in the campus interview. So the rest persons are unemployed or they are not working in the reputed industry with the unsatisfied salary. Still its going on. On the other side we need lot of workers for other field but these students not even take the course. This is the important reason for the unemployment.

Though private companies are providing more job opportunities to our people, but these jobs are less in proportion to the population of India. So still there is a problem of unemployment in India.

yes it is still a problem in india.unless untill the large number employeement facilities such as large number of private entreprenuers has to set up and government should take measures to stop this it will still persist in india 

I think Un employment has always been a problem, lack of requisite skills and theoritical framework of education has also meant that there are less paying jobs available than good paying jobs.

Yes there may be still problem. But what I have seen here, it is less in compare to past.

It is really a big problem in India. Companies did not get right persons for their jobs and students can't get big companies job due to poor education system. When people start their own business and not depend upon the job market then unemployment may be get reduced.

It certainly seems to be a big problem. But it would definitely need time and effort to address this.
