Why women cover their heads for religious prayers? Why contradictory beliefs in North and South?
I have observed in all religions, Hindus, Christians and Muslims.....ladies cover their head using shawl or sari while praying. Why are they doing so???? But let me say, such a practice is not available in Hindu temples of Kerala and Tamil Nadu, I think other south Indian states too.
According to our religious beliefs, while going to temple, men should never cover their chests and women should never cover their forehead, because God blesses men on their chests and women on forehead. That's why men are not allowed to wear shirts in most temples of Kerala and Tamil nadu.
Why contradictory beliefs in North and South Indian Hindus, though religious practices and beliefs are same?
