What it boils down to is that the person should be rich and famous and a celebrity, that seems to be the trend these days ...we have a youngster in our town who brings clean water in a huge steel drum with a tap on a bicycle and disributes it to children outside a poorly run government school every single day before going for his work at a library, how about including him in the list of icons> or is he too small a person?
Like Usha has stated above, youth icon should be a person who is actually doing something inspiring and that which would help others. But since you have mentioned only the two names above, my pick would be Tendulkar who youngsters can learn a lot from such as hard work, dedication, honesty and integrity, and most of all discipline in his work.
None of these two are eligible to count in youth anymore neither they qualify to be branded as icon. They have done whatever for their personal gain. What do you think they have provided to society to make their lives better?
As per my view ,... youth icon is one who gives the "" Moral "" support to the Young Guys
Real youth icon is " MALALA YOUSAFZAI "
She is an Education Activist ..She should also work out on " Protection of Women " , "" Women Safety ""
As she is a renowned person ..If she works on the above concern ..
I really MS Dhoni. The way he play his short and remains calm. He knows his potential and he never get afraid. He accepts the challenge and tackle it nicely. His Never give up attitude is motivating.
Well, for me, it will be Sachin Tendulkar. Very few people know what he has contributed to the sport. We only talk about his records and more than that how many times he failed to take India home when it mattered. But he has been behind so many successful players today. He doesn't want to take the credit and come in the limelight for those things.
