Not generalising this statement as a rule, but looking at the current power holders in government, universities, various institutions, even law and judiciaries, I really cannot help but make this observation. Do you also feel the same? And why?

No they don't as they are nore experienced than the youths so they advice us when we do anything but that's our choice if we implement it or not. May be some people think that that they force us to implement what they say that's the reason we think elder peopl misuse their power but actually its not.
Misuse of power is not age related. This depends more on individual character. In fact, the older have generally more power than younger ones who have started their career. May be older have more opportunity and experience and so can misuse authority more.
I think older people misuse power more than younger people because there is nothing to lose for them. They can earn as much as much as they want and even if they are caught, they had already lived their life, so it doesn't make much difference. The next reason might be that older people are more experienced than younger ones in a particular field, and with experience comes more loopholes for earning money illegally. Greed might be the next reason and an old person might lose his senses when greed overwhelms him. The final reason is the universal truth, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
It could either way, I feel that it depends on the person's mental make up and environment. Those who have power will misuse it to some extent whether young or old. In fact older people would be wiser in using power , whereas the younger people may get carried away ! But again this is an individual characteristic.A person with manipulative and autocratic tendency will definitely misuse power to his or her advantage whatever the age may be !
I do not feel the same. There is a thought by a writer/thinker (am not sure who he is). He said that 'Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely". It is the question of being in power. The age doesn't make any difference whatsoever.
Well, that is not true in every cases.. That's what only I can say. I mean there may be few people who misuse their power but I can't say for all. Same thing goes for other ages people too.
It's the older people who hold most powers compared to younger ones so their acts look like misuse when some one wants to differ, but the fact is younger ones do it more because they think they know all while they have to learn a lot.
