V.Arunkumar According to Rayleigh scattering law, the amount of scattering is inversely proportional to the fourth power of wavelength. Hence violet light is scattered more and red light is scattered the least. But since the wavelength of violet light is so less, it cannot reach earth. Hence the sky appears blue. - V.Arunkumar - 12 years ago
