It all comes down to economic or monetary need. Parents are forced to send their children to work when there is poverty. A committed government can do a lot by generating work for the adults and make sure that children attend school compulsorily until they are adults and able to take responsibility for their lives...
Government has to take some steps and impart some quality education about child labour among the parents and they should take some steps to reduce poverty.
We can stop child labour by organizing donation drive for such unfortunate children..if the children are big enough they can be given vocational training...here the govt has to intervene and ensure that money is properly used for the benefit for such children.
Child labor is directly related to the poverty and the only thing which I feel is to reduce poverty to reduce child labor. Moreover the law need to be imposed strictly against the people who employ child as labor in factories or home. I remember recently I saw a little girl who was employed to look after the kids in the house. It was embarasing to see a little girl of 12 years old looking after the kids of aged 3~4 years. I was thinking in my mind how can a kid look after kids.
Yes child labor is related with poverty. I know one community form MP. Male of this community never like to work. Their children are earning person. They spend moreover time in gambling and drinking. Here in Rajasthan education is free. Hard punishment to parents can stop child labor. With law it make compulsory to send child to school.
Before controlling child labor in this country our think tank shall have to chalk out a plan to arrange to feed them, to send them to school to make them live a proper life otherwise hey have no right to make them sit at home deprived, no food, no support from any other sources. Let them work to help themselves and their poor parents.
The child is sent to work only when the family do not their economic needs. So make the parents employed.
Sometimes the child is sent when the father do not have money to drink alcohol. Completely get rid of alcohol in the society.
I think the free education and mid day meal program that exists is third way to stop child labour.
Child labour comes to end with the growth of civic sense amongst family members. Good education and development of mind is very important for welfare of family members. The good source of income by the job holder of the family members reduces the percentage of child labour.
A working child is a bread earner for many poor families. So if the child labour has to be controlled, our rulers should provide a means that ensures a morsel of food to the poor. Then automatically, the parents will come forward to send their children to school, It results in curtailing child labour.
For this thing people should understand about not to hire such kids for work.. I don't know why some student or parents are avoiding studies but if it is financial problem then Government must think about it.
