There is a proposal to run a fast train to run a stretch of 492 Km from Mumbai to Ahmedabad because the high speed rail corridor was sanctioned in the month of July this year. Its speed will be 300 KMPH. When its going to come to reality is not known
A train has been designed like bullet train which runs from sealdah railway station to new jailpaiguri. Speed if this train is like other Indian trains.
Bullet trains run at a very fast speed. It is not possible to start such trains in India. There are many limitations.
I have heard that in whole Country 4 to 5 places are there, where the Railways are planning to run bullet train in india. I don't think it would be started next year.
