We need not make punishment very strict. By making this very strict, we are over emphasizing the virtue of female chastity, which ultimately goes against women. Instead the double standard on chastity should be avoided. Female chastity should be at par with male celibacy or chastity. The punishment for rape should up to ten years rigorous imprisonment with flogging.
Eliminating it from society is almost impossible as there are all sort of people in the world. If we make strict laws too then too there are people who are scared of the laws and aftermath of the crime but definitely we can reduce it. In my opinion there is need of making strict laws like killing rapists publically like they do in gulf countries.
Even I agree that punishment should be high enough so that fear stay in such people mind. The people who don't respect other people's life like this surely not deserve the life.
Punishing people who are culprit doesn't remove the sin. As we are seeing, people are getting punishments but, there is no improvement at all. I believe, our education system is the main concern. A good thinking mind will never commit such sin. According to me, mind can be nurtured at school level where they should learn what is bad and what is good. Even sex education at the school level should be introduced to handle these issue. :)
Eliminating it completely is impossible, but they should be punished severely so that no other person should think of doing it. They should be treated with acid daily.
I feel that depending on the severity of the crime they should be given either a death sentence or castration and a severe prison sentence and there should be no provision for any leniancy and appeal ..
The best punishment for a rapist is to chemically castrate him and let the public know about it. Until stringent measures are taken against rape, such a crime cannot be minimized...and put an end to it,
Rape or no rape, corruption or no corruption, it's all in the mind. No laws can stop them. It is the tendency that needs to be changed. And that is very difficult. Laws cannot change the mindset of the people.
They should be given punishment to hage till death, and i this is also a very simple punishment for them they should be tourched so much that they themselves ask for death.
our government should make strict laws for rapists.. leave it on public and the Public should decide what is to be done with him.. if this is not possible then hanged him...
Giving punishment can't change the thinking and behaviour of people. People who commit such crime are mentally sick there is need for change in thinking and change in the attitude towrads women in our society.
By making serious laws towards rapists by cutting their P____s we can solve this issue. They must not die but they must live like 50-50 person even they are men.
The fear of punishment should be there. For this the law and order implementation should be lock, stock and barrel. Political intervention should never be allowed
The tendency to rape a women comes from the mind of the people who always think about it. Bars must be closed. Blue films should be banned. Adultery and prostitution should be made punishable by law.
Everywhere people should recite dharmic mantras and prbachan should be made compulsory in every societies. Any men staring on women or girl should be punished or exiled from the city.
Even though if any person rapes and murders a girl , he must be given capital punishment by law. If a girl is only rapped, man must be beaten in public and his gender should be changed. Same law is vaild for women also.
