Well Purohit, its not recommended since you will have to notify this to support team with the article link & also justify what & why you have changed the content of the article.

So its better you write the complete article in the word form & then upload the same.
In my honest opinion, it would be great if we publish fresh content all the while. The latest articles will have more value to it than submitting the older ones. Looking at a bigger picture is important at such times.
I think if the words and language is different and even some information if it is different, i think it should be published here.
But we need to modify our article to greater extent.
You cannot copy already published articles. You can change the article, add something new along with its contents, make it a new one. Comprehend it once again with new words.
You do have the provision to edit and resubmit your article if you feel the need to do so, but it is better instead to put that much effort into writing a new article !
