When a government is performing in such a hopeless manner with lots of scam, opposition can definitely demand resignation of the Union cabinet. However, this is another matter that the main opposition does not differ much from the ruling alliance in matter of misrule and corruption.

Now Pranab Mukherjee blames opposition for destroying parliament. But are both UPA and NDA not equally responsible for destroying parliamentary functioning.

Offer of special parliament session to discuss the JPC demand has been turned down by opposition. They demand JPC and not discussion.

The scams resulted in BJP demanding resignation of Prime Minister. But the Congress has turned down this.

Speaker is hosting meet with ruling and opposition for ending stalemate over JPC demand so as to conduct Monsoon session of parliament smoothly. There appears no end to the crisis as oppistion is ready for nothing short of JPC.

There appears still no hope for smooth functioning of parliament in the monsoon session. There is no solution in sight to JPC installation despite several meetings held by speaker of Lok Sabha.

The opposition is firm on JPC. In view of near unanimity among opposition on JPC demand, which which some of UPA members also agree, the Govt. should agree to the demand and ensure smooth functioning of next session of parliament.

Pranab Mukherjee disagrees with Prime Minister's offer to appear before PAC. This indicates extent of differences in Congress that leads UPA.
