Till - means a time limit and used as a preposition

read- it means reading. Example : Read this Book.
read- this means that you have completed reading. Example: I have read this book.

You have selected a very nice word. Let me further explain some thing more about read, reed.
The verb 'read' is same in three forms- present, past and past perfect.
But this is pronounced as 'red' in past.
Also 'reed' pronounced similarly is a sort of plant. This also refers to a musical instrument. By searching 'reed' on Google search, all this will be clear.
There is another word 'red' with same pronunciation but this is a color.
