    Astrology is vast subject. We can do predictions looking at the hairs, hands, feet, nails, handwriting, face, palm, etc. I have studied this subject just for knowledge and fun. I believe it is interesting just like history and geography.

    History is story of mankind and thus is not Science. Geography also primarily studies conditions in different regions. Astrological predictions based on hair count, palm lines etc are just funny and ridiculous. If astrology were true, Railway Time Table would be based on that and also selection of candidates for employment would be based on astrology, numerology and similar other such things. .

    I believe in astrology but not much. I just read weekly zodiac prediction on the name of astrology nothing else.I feel one should not believe much on it and should not schedule their works as per them. :)

    People seldom plan their journeys and other events on basis of astrology but there is a trend to fix marriages on basis of horoscopes. I wonder how far horoscope helps.

    I would say that horoscopes match making is important before marriage. Now the vedic astrology has been developed. It is no longer based on the tradtional thoughts and views. Many celebrities believe in astrology.

    The facts that celebrities believe in astrology; that foreigners also believe in astrology; that there is Vedic development do not in any way validate the astrological predictions. We acknowledge all that is rational and scientific- what ever be the source- Indian, foreign, past or current. similarly, we must reject all that is irrational and unscientific- foreign or Indian, past or current-

    The celebrities may be experts in acting, arts and sports but are not to be followed in matters like astrological predictions.
