In our area one chitra sale(to clear old stock)is happened in the month of March and April.
This month is a discount sales month all over Kerala, since next month our new year begins.....
Clearing of all old stocks....particularly textiles (aadi sales)
Come to Kerala or Tamil Nadu this month, with a big sack in hand.
Now only 10 days left :P
Mostly it happens in the last of year. Is not't?

As a marketing professional I can tell with authority that there is nothing like 'discount sale' The items they sell on so called cheaper rates already carry a increased price tag or inferior/defected items. hey loot people in many ways in the name of discounted sale.

Another thing we have to note....
Sometimes we may get something free for purchasing a particular item. Seeing that discounts, we may purchase more than what we actually require, which increases the sale of their product and reduce of money in our pockets.

Yes nice experience shared and this is true but people want discount in everything so they are bound to do so.

Even in big shops/malls they have certain conditions that makes the account settled- first they set a fixed amount to invest and then you have to choose according to their choice. Like if you purchase 5kg Basmati rice that would be 200/ per kg wile the same is available for 120/ and to take one kg sugar people will take it.
Or if you purchase 3 shirts of 1200/ each they will give you 2 free means 3600 for 5 shirts. These shirts are available 350/ in the market means 1750.

No. I buy only when necessary and not for discounts. But if discount is given on any purchase, there is no reason to deny.

This month, it's best for purchasing clothes as they are clearing old clothes to welcome Onam.....particularly Tamil textiles which offer more than 40-50% discount for even silk dresses.
