Yet, northern districts of Kerala, people love foot ball more than cricket. You can ask Abid
Why should I ask Abid, I have seen our university participating in interversity meet at Calicut/Kozhicode Punjab versity beat Kozhicde by 3-0 :woohoo:
   :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
I have yet to determine whether you are happy or not by Kohzicode got beaten by my versity although that was way back.
This is Desh Prem for my state.
Really angry with you
Is it Desh-prem or Prdesh prem??? Every time an inter-varsity tournament would be held, this is impossible to win a particular state so keep your angers ready, there is hardly a chance Punjab losing in football.
Pradesha prem...
But kerala has won Santhosh Trophy many times :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Do you know, if Kerala wins Santhosh Trophy, it's a holiday for the state. In my school days, I have got some such holidays :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
So, we used to pray......May Kerala win it every time
I know 'chutty prem' has reached us to the stage that this is full 'chutty' of our country in all games. :( :( Chutty should be our national game.
I don't have any interest in any sports. So I will never take interest to see it. :P :P
Definately yes. I love my countrymen. I will definately sit infront of my TV with lots of motivation and watch each and every sports in which my country would participate.

I shall cross that bridge while I shall reach it. Why should I commit any thing which is a distant dream.
Sure I will see if India will play world cup but chance is very low as we are far behind from others.
I have always liked watching football. I have been a part of my football team in school. :) If India someday qualifies for the World Cup someday I would love to watch my country play. :) :)

You forgot to mention 'somehow' I think. That is most crucial part of the question. :(
Actually cricket became most popular in our country and football and hockey get less priority.

India is gradually progressing in sports. :) So we like many other Indians would love to see our team playing in the football tournaments. Football has a vast following in our country.

Football is very much famous all over the world that is the reason the competition in this sport is very tough. Imagine there is quota of maximum 3~4 countries from Asia. Many of the countries who are far better than India can't qualify for FIFA world cup how can we expect India to qualify in it.Seriously we need to play much better and once we prove ourself at least in Asia may be we get a chance to qualify in world cup. :)

The fact is we are competitive at SARC level only, beyond that we have no where to stand. Even in Asian rankings we would be ashamed to disclose it, world cup is like daydreaming at this stage.

The fact is in our country academics is given more priority than sports. I read the news today that how Unmukt Chand, the captain of the under19 Indian cricket team who has recently won the World Cup had to appeal to the court as his college wasn't allowing him to give the yearly exams because he was short of attendance. He could not attend college much because of his practices. When the person is bringing laurels to the country the college should have supported the talent.

This is because the money is not involved at junior level. You know Dhony's college allowed him 100% attendance free and every other facility to clear his degree exams. And you know they are even awarded the hon colonel's/squ leaders posts because cricket is game with money. And a shooter who brought silver for India a real Subedar in Indian army could get a subedar major after a big pressure coming from many sources. That is politics in Indian sports for you. Money is prime driving force rest is only secondary.

But now he will be allowed as he has made India proud. :)

Moreover cricketers are always given preference in our country. :)

This happened after he bought the 1st or 2nd World cup in the under 19 category. He was allowed to give the exam only after the Court directed the college to do so.

May be he was not as popular as now he is after winning the world cup tittle recently.

Now whatever he will do he won't need a support from the court.

He will soon become new Virat Kohali of Indian team as all big guns are praising him.
