Even I love to spend time with plants. but we dont have any special plants. Only tulasi is there and 2 some other flowers. I love to maintain plants as nursery be. but i have one problem if we leave the house and go some where for vacation who will look after them

I live in flat and here too space is not there for enough gardening.I love to plough plants but don't have enough space so plough only 2 to 3 plants

I also lived in a 2bhk in Bangalore with two balconies. Both of them were full of flowers with hanging pots.

According to environmentalists growing even a single plant by an individual is good enough to balance out the ill effects of the chemical wastes that is polluting the atmosphere

And not to forget the beauty and greenery that is part and parcel of the hobby. Why you can use some of the vegetable and used tea as fertilizers for your home plants.

I will say one example that one of our old hero name is nageshwarrao he will grow vegetables for himself daily he will do gardening now his age is nearly 90+ but still he looks like 60+.

Sunil, I make my own compost at home. We have a fairly large garden so space is no problem. We have dug a pit into which goes all kitchen waste like vegetable peel,fruit peel, egg shells,tea leaves and even stale food which I cover with soil and dry leaves and once it is almost full it is allowed to decompose with regular watering. It is ready for use within a month or two.

That is very common thing in our household. My father who was an agricultural engineer was very much interested to do all the work until he lived. He used to work in our garden for 3-4 hours a day. We had all kind of vegetables, flowers and fruits. Now the garden is not as maintained due to many reasons. Now my wife does all the gardening in whatever space we have left with. I can only say that this is one of the best hobbies if one can spare time and have apace.

I just started but now, I think about 60-75 pots are there
