GST was indeed the brain child of BJP under Vajpayee , and UPA took it up but because of certain shortcomings the bill was opposed and now it again BJP that has taken it up and modified t and implemented it.
What is main benefit of applying GST. I think transport service is now faster and saving lot of time. Other benefits is single tax and fixed percentage so many ERP configuration become easier .
