No one in this world is completely happy. The modern world is full of competition, stress and strain. Similarly, modern life is full of tension, anxiety, sorrows, worries and cares. It is true that life is full of
struggles and difficulties. Modern ways of living and material thinking have added trouble and frustration to life. Today people are engaged in a race to amass wealth. They work and struggle hard to get more and more. They say that they do everything in life for their happiness.
Everyone in the world has an intense longing for a happy life. What is happiness? Happiness is actually a state of mind. Some people think that happiness is related to wealth. To some others, it is associated with health. Some others think that happiness lies in some sort of contentment with what one has. In short, happiness is relative and it varies from person to person and everyone has his own concept of happiness. A beggar on the roadside or a poor man in the hut may be happier than a millionaire in his big palace.
People often think that money brings happiness. So they hunt wealth thinking that they can achieve everything in life with the help of money. Though money is essential for a happy life, it cannot do much to make life happy. So the source of happiness is not wealth.
Good health is very important for happiness. One who suffers from sickness and pain cannot be happy. Good health is a blessing and happiness. We may have plenty of money, but we cannot enjoy it unless we have good health. Without good health life becomes a burden and one cannot lead a happy life.
Peace and contentment will bring happiness. One should be satisfied with what one has. Human wants and desires are unlimited. These wants and desires multiply one after another. Craze for more things and their non fulfillment lead to unhappiness. People often look around and compare their lots with others. Then they will realize that they lack many comforts and amenities which others have. Thus the feeling of jealousy depression, dissatisfaction and the desire to get more often make people unhappy. To be happy we should live within our means. We should cut down our expenses and avoid unnecessary wants and desires. When a person accepts himself, his fate, social status, abilities and inabilities and the realities around him, he can be happy.
In short happiness lies within us and it depends on ourselves. It is to be sought and found. The secret of happiness lies in right speech, right thought, right behavior, cleanliness of mind, a clear conscience, simple living and high thinking, service to mankind and an upright life.
The periodic process of the life is birth, growth & death. Every life undergoes this process. Outlook there is no more basic process. One will not transfer any message to next generation except its genetic constitution. But it is clear that one memory or stored information cannot be transferred to the next generation.
But in reality we are not a machine for just, eat and breathe. We got some aim, a target that we have to accomplish. That is unknown to us but it will be performed, knowingly or unknowingly. We know we are only spices who can express emotions. According to the evolutionary concept we developed from simple organisms. Then from where we got emotions? Where we got sense of ethics'? The concept of rebirth started then our old ethics tells something about it. We will birth again and again to do our duty. We got a lot of evidence for this. In 1920 `s. There was one man in America whose name was Arigo. He was only shucked up to 4th standard & suddenly he started doing medical surgeries. Those surgeries when unsolved by medical science, he told about this was, "I don't know what I was doing. I just obey the instructions from someone else". He gave the details of the person to police. The police identified that hidden person.
He was a doctor who worked in British army at the time of World War I` and died. There the story telling the doctor who give some message after his death to complete his study to this world, through Arigo.
There was an incident in Italy. There was a girl named Maria. She was travelling through a bridge, suddenly became unconscious. When she became conscious she started speaking in male voice. And told she was Pep who lived in Switzerland and was murdered by his friend. There was no evidence to this murder. So case rejected. After some year, this Pep's mother got a regret letter that he was murdered. They killed him. Stories, turned just like Maria said. Interesting fact is that Pep was murdered on a bridge, which is very much similar to bridge under which Maria become unconscious.
If we go through the History this can be felt a little Bit. Euclid was a great person in geometry nut then was some this which was unknown to him. Pythagoras proved it after some years. And he is the father of geometry. Pythagoras born after some other day after the death of Euclid. Suit a fact that Euclid reborn as Pythagoras to complete his commitment to the world?
Abraham Lincoln to John F Kennedy carries this kind of similarity. And we got so many more evidence to accelerate this stand. Ordinary men think the above mentioned facts are exception. If we look closes then exceptions happens every when ant time.
Then makes us Rally think about reborn. Let us come to the animal world. This reborn happened her also. Homotherium sirum was the animal who lived before 10000 years ago. It was similar to our finger belief stronger than it. It in invaded the world and lived us king of force, but it was completed extended during ice age. But our fingers from when they developed. Ice age is that age which the whole earth covered by ice. One can live but after the 8 ice age now still there is life. How it is possible. My theory of rebirth caries importance there giant mammoth intricotrherium an examples to this.
The theory of rebirth till now not accepted by scientific world. But it is a subject which is to be thought. Be it there is not a rebirth the life may not have this continuity.
The theory is supply states that we got some message from our ancestor. We have to deliver it to next generation. We have to do it so that the life process may run.
Depression is a serious problem for some people who are going through this problem. It is very stressful and has some effects on the health of an individual. An individual going through depression feels very sad and will not like anything around him.
As all of us sadness and depression can spread from a person to another person. It is much possible that a person who is around some one who stays very depressed than such condition of staying depressed may also get passed on to him . A person who is depressed may pass his depression to any of his friends, any of his family member or any one he meets.
It is some what very hard to be in a relationship when your partner is going through the phase of depression. Your partner may come out with anger at you any moment and you need to be ready to cool down your partner and also ready to deal with your partner's anger. If you reply to your partner with your anger then it may be very harmful for the relationship. So in every relationship when one of them is in depression it may very hard for anyone to deal with his partner.
When one is in depression anything his partner may talk may feel him bad. May be his partner says him some good things also then he may feel bad and come out with anger. In some cases of serious depression problem it may be good to stop talking with your partner for some days or months according to the problem. It will be much better to stop talking as it will avoid arguments and the relationship will not break.
Sometimes in some depression problems your partner may be in need of getting some help, motivation, love etc. In such situations you may be the only who will get your partner out of the problem of depression and make him feel much better. One must support his partner during such times and be as much helpful as one can be to his partner.
It has been seen that the strongest of relationships have broken down when one of the person suffers with depression. It is only the understanding between the two that may save the relationship from getting broken. One only learns with experience and its the same with relationships. As the time goes one learns dealing with different situations in a relationship.
Hope no relationships get broken due to the problem of depression and may my article be helpful to save some of the relationships from getting broken up.
Human Rights are essential such as life, health, freedom and justice. Human rights means the protection against exploitation and inherent with every person on equal basis. These rights are violated not only by individuals but also some societies and groups.
United Nation on 10th December 1948, adopted the universal declaration of human rights.
The rights are:
- free speech
- freedom of movement
- judicial right
- right of governance of their country
- right to equality
- right to live with dignity
- right to rest and declaration
- right to equal payment for equal work
In our India, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) established on October 12, 1993.
The standard and enforcement of these rights differ from country to country. In some countries these rights are not statutory and obligatory. Homo sex is treated as crime in many countries. Our country, recently free the homo sex from crime list. Forcing other person for sex is crime. Other wise, the form of sex is depends on partner’s mentality and desire.
Till now, caste differences and religion quarrels are there. This is shame in this 21st century. Every people has right to follow their caste and religion. Drainage cleaners are not respected by people. But they are essential for this society. Hope! Robots may used for drainage cleaning in future. In Building works, eventhough women do the same work as men, they get low salary than men. Like that, some activities of male chauvinism in our society.
Trans-genders also the part of our society. But they are hated and isolated by society. Isolation is the big punishment to any one. what crime did they? They have to get good education and good shelter. Now-a-days women get their rights. Transgenders should get the rights equal to men and women. They want to live like a normal human being. So, we don’t disturb their life. They also have the rights to live and achieve.
Children are treated as machines in our society. That is learning machines; mark scoring machines. Child labor problem is black side of our society. Now-a-days, child labor problem decreased. But normal families also not treated children as children. Children have the right to play. Even though education is important, life has many dimensions such as sports, friendship, story reading, and spiritual activities.
Media can play an important role. To check the violation of these rights, it is essential to bring in light over the suppressing and discriminating actions and to raise voice against them.
There hardly would a woman who does not enjoy the relaxing, soothing and joyful activity of hunting for good bargains. Opinions as to shopping being relaxing and joyful may differ; especially with the men folk! Women as a species, generally are good hunters (pun intended). Their extremely sensitive noses can sniff out a good deal being offered within a radius of at least 5 km around them. It is not uncommon to see women of varying ages, gathered in packs of 2 or 3 or more, moving from one shop to another. They may usually be accompanied by one or two distressed males, usually husbands or fathers or boyfriends, accompanying the group. The males are usually silent and the women are chattering in excitement almost nonstop; occasionally letting out shrieks; either of joy or indignation depending upon the deal offered to them by the hapless shopkeeper. Watching the activities of any such group is quite an enjoyable experience, unless you are accompanying a similar group spending money from your pocket. To watch these women at work, one must head towards the numerous markets or bazaars that dot the cities and towns everywhere in the world. The languages may change from place to place, but the essence of this core activity remains the same and that is bargaining or haggling.
Tulsibaug or Tulshibaug is one such bazaar. Situated in the heart of the Pune city, the name Tulsi is derived from the sacred Tulsi or Basil herb which grew in abundance at this place. A temple dedicated to God Ram is situated here. It dates back to the 18th century and was surrounded by a beautiful garden containing flowers and Tulsi. This garden gradually shrank in size to make place for rapidly increasing population until disappearing completely. It now sports the present day market.
This bazaar sells every imaginable and unimaginable product that a woman needs and desires. Ranging from cosmetics, costume jewellery, hair and fashion accessories, clothes, furnishings, kitechen wares and appliances, cooking utensils, decorative items, shoes, purses, etc. can be bought here. These shpos stock the latest in fashion; be it the Balika Vadhu and Devdas jewellery, Devdas sarees and blouses, the flashy tikas or bindis made famous by Saas-Bahu serials, the harem pants that Kareena Kapoor wore in Jab We Met or any other similar stuff you have particularly wanted, can be bought here. These items can be bought for quite a reasonable price without burning a hole in your pockets. The quality is generally as good as the same stuff being sold in expensive malls.
The only rule here is that you should not agree to the very first price quoted by the shopkeeper.
The normal haggling that ensues usually goes like this: The price for a kurta that you liked a lot is quoted as Rs 200. Without flinching or moving, you need to immediately slash it down to Rs. 100. The shopkeeper will regretfully shake his head and say no. Do not get discouraged but repeat your offer of Rs. 100. He is then sure to come down to Rs. 180. You still stick to your offer or may be up it to Rs. 110, but no more. The shopkeeper will then look at you as if you have lost your mind. Now this is the crucial moment of the entire transaction. If he has not accepted your offer, you simply turn and walk away from his shop. The shopkeeper will then come after you requesting you to resume haggling.
Finally after a couple more exchanges, he will agree on a price between Rs. 140 - 150, which is the time when you accept the deal. Perseverance and patience pays off really well to carry out such transactions to a successful end.
But for some items, there is no haggling here. Eg., purses and handbags are offered in various shops starting from Rs. 160 and upwards. These are usually very good in quality and worth the money being asked. Similarly, ladies footwear being sold here the price is fixed at Rs. 60. Unbelievable but true! Sandals and slip-ons of various shapes, colours, designs and patterns, these are made of lightweight rubber soles and usually jute fabrics, and plastic fiber. The life of such footwear is not more than two months, but then if you can get 5-6 pairs of different designs for the price of a single pair in a swanky mall, they are worth buying.
Apart from the routine stuff, there are some shops inside the temple complex which sell traditional Maharshtrian wares such as cooking utensils, pooja utensils, brass diyas and various other decorative items made of brass. Some shops sell beautifully forged brass statues of various gods and goddesses. If not for religious purposes, these statues can make delightful and pleasing displays any type of interiors.
After a tiring round of shopping, one is bound to feel hungry and thirsty for which there is the Hotel Akshay right inside the bazaar. An Udupi establishment, a variety of South Indian snacks such idlis, dosas, uttapas and vadas, various punjabi dishes, and the evergreen pav-bhaji is offered here. Another small eatery here is Arogya Bhuvan which offers typical Maharashtrian specialities of Misal-Pav and Sabudana khichadi. The crisp hot potato bhajiyas they sell here are simply delicious.
For history buffs, right across the road is situated Vishrambaugwada. It has a beautiful facade of wood work balcony and the entire brickwork has been recently restored. This wada displays an exhibition called Punawadi(Old name for Pune) to Pune which shows how Pune evolved right from 17th or 18th century to its present day form. Also, on sale here are various handicrafts and Puneri sarees and dress materials.
Every visitor to Pune, must include at least a single visit to the Tulsibaug. My advise to the men would be; go only if you have the courage and the guts to brave unbelievable crowds. If you do decide to accompany your wife or your girlfriend, make sure you fit her with a tracking device. This is because she is bound to get lost in the frenzy that takes over her once you enter inside Tulsibaug!!
