When I ask this question, every one thinks about Bollywood actress, but there are many number of good actress there in other Indian film industries. I would like to know the one whom you think is the best.

There are many good actresses in indian cinema. I would like to list my favourites in different categories.
Beauty - Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone
Comedy - Oorvasi (Tamil & Malayalam), Kovai sarala (Tamil)
Evergreen - Sridevi, Rekha, Radhika (Tamil)
Acting - Kajol, Jyothika (Tamil & Malayalam)

According to me, Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi are best. They are the magnificient choice. No one beat their talent.

I have no idea about some heroines in other language films.. But Sridevi is one of my favorite in telugu,tamil and hindi. In hindi Madhu dixit for her dance and acting and she resembles Madhubala(which is my opinion)...I like madhbala but unfortunately she acted for less time.
In new movies to be frank i dont like anyone i just dont find the graceness of older heroines or acting talent. However may be in other languages there are good actress.

I my view Indian best actress is rekha and hema malini.Both these actress has made there name in Bollywood industries and still people love to see them acting.

In the old golden days, the acting used to be given preference.
Hindi - Hema malini, Rekha, madhubala
Telugu - Sridevi, Savitri, Radha.

But in the recent times, there are many famous actors who are famous for their glamorous portions, than acting.
Hindi - Deepika Padukone, Karishma, Kajol, Kareena.
Telugu - Soundarya, Trisha, Anuska, Charmy

This is a difficult question as many actresses - old and new flash in mind- and I can not make choice easily. However, I may mention Waheeda Reman and Zeenat Amaan among my favourite actresses. I like also Parveen Bobby and Helen- well known dancer.
My choice as best actress finally goes to madhubala. ah heroine of all times. Currently, Aishwarvya Rai is the best.

I like Katrina Kaif in new actress and in old I like Hema malini and Sridevi. I like Hema Malini after seeing her movie Sholey and I like Sridevi After seeing her movie Chandni.

There are many old actresses who are all good in their own way, I personally consider Madhubla, Geeta Bali ,Meena Kumari and Vyjantimala as the best of the lot. Difficult to pick any one from them.
