Thats true. There is a very long gap.
Aastha has asked me to take over DFAA for one week. But as she is having some inconvenience at her side, she is not able to handle this task daily.

As I am on vacation, it is not possible for me to handle this for the month of August. I would be back to HYD at the end of this month.

Some very nice suggestions are given by Gulshan, Abid and Atul. It is a necessity that there be a back up for every role on the forums to avoid just the current scenario.

I am willing to help out with the same!

My vote for 3 members in the panel are

1.Abid
2.Gulshan
3.Kalyani

These three members are visiting boddunan and doing a wonderful contribution on forums.

Yes, a shared responsibility is better than individual shoulders.But the leaving member should inform it earlier.I may be participating in the GD started and one morning if I am asked to take its moderation due to other members inconvenience it may not be possible.

Also, require one clarification regarding GD moderator, the moderator is not allowed to participate in GDs. will the same apply to the per'son who is designated as the back up for GD too?

That's correct. There should be a common communication channel and understanding between the panel members. I can help you with whatever the suggestion you give.

Yes, the rules remains the same. The contest moderator and Lead Panel members are not eligible for winning the contest, they can participate.

Now kalyani would refuse to take up this position. If the moderators cant participate then there should be some rewards for them.

Now we all had a solution.

From tomorrow onwards Aastha will will be back..,no need to worry.

If result should be automatic by using some criteria than there no need to make committee for daily forum activator award.

If the result is automated then the result will not be accurate. Then there will be a chance of spam in the forum.

That's a good and valid point Abid.I suggest a panel consisting of 2 or 3 members for each award and when one person is off, he/she can inform the other person.The panel can be updated again if some member leaves the site or absent for longtime. For DFAA award,active members in forums can be chosen and for GD we can chose members who participate actively and win.

For GD, my suggestions are

(But we will lose contributions from these members :-()

Iam interested to take the job.My other suggestions are

Sajee, I will not refuse the positio if I cannot participate in GD, but yes I will definitely miss fighting with you on various points!! :woohoo:

They are very well there in the panel. Just co-ordinate with the new members. This would become a collaborative task instead of one person's.

If all of you guys ok with that we can formulate guidelines on how we all can communicate with each other to make a smooth flow of the tasks and no delays happen.

i agree to what gulshan has said. Its better to appoint a panel of senior members.

Guys, no replies from you. If you are okay, we can start the GD from tomorrow with the new panel as judges. Judges can participate in GD but they cannot make themselves as winners for better transparency. Or we can have one member in alternate week as judge so that other person can participate. It is upto you

Yes maverick, you are right. AS abid won't be available on Mondays kalyani can start this week's contest.
