    i think the person who started the post should end it after a specified time period. That is the model followed by yahoo answers,webanswers and askpedia.

    All GDs are closed after the stipulated time by the moderator who started it.


    The moderator closes the GD. But I think that he should also give his own views and summarize the discussions. He is a sort of judge in the GD.

    GD means discusiing on one topic so that many members have different views.So moderator participating means no problem.

    The moderator may in his concluding post summarize and group the views of members and give his own views.
