The economic offences wing of the Central Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday unearthed a major fake housing loan racket and arrested eight officials from various banks on graft charges.

As Chinmoy stated the nation is rocked with scams. :( :( :(
As Sumit rightly says that all these state-owned institutions are great sources of corruption and I don't know what would be the fate of these so-called raids!!
Punjab bank and LIC are are proved to be involved in the scam.

Punjab Bank has to face the CBI's music... :o
The year is going to end and I think this year will come in Guinness book as year of scams!

Yes Abid..... CBI is taking over this case.... Was waiting to see the final judgement..
But the CBI taking also is a drama on these days.People committe have to enquire now.
Several bankers and housing finance executives said the guidelines would become more stringent across-the-board, particularly for project financing.
Yes the rules should be more strigent or else there wont be any end.
The stringent rules alone can not prevent this kind of fraud.What we need is stricter implementation.More sincerity and befitting punishment!
I think once caught all their assets should hold and dissolve in public fund.
