Delhi girl critical after gangrape, four held

I am yet to hear of any punishment given to rapists except 2 years of prison sentence which is the reason why sick minds are not showing any kind of fear,,rather getting more violent with each new case !

In this case, there is not simple rape but also attempt to murder and inflicting serious injuries. The culprits are likely to get very severe punishment.

Its sickening and distressing every time thinking of the girl who faced this painful incident. Even animals are not so brutal.

Animals are natural and not brutal. What the goons have done to the girl is too mean, senseless and cruel to describe.

It is really very sad to know about the girl as well as her boyfriend. Not only Delhi in other cities also such incidents are frequently happening. Previously Benguluru also recorded such case where BPO employees were the main targets. A call center executive who was a pregnant was raped and killed by cab driver. There should be some strict law to punish rapists may be death sentence would be not enough. :angry:

Thats true, in fact I was reading a report that Bangalore is second in rape cases, next to Delhi...This is shameful indeed that with the growth of a city we also see such violent crimes increasing..

That was really shameful for us. The incident has proved that there animals in human beings skin how can someone do that. I really shiver when I imagine about the incident. Its really hard for a girl to forget it they literally have destroyed her life. They should be given rigorous punishment just hanging them would less for them for what they did. :blink:

There are protests and outrage felt by almost everyone in the country at this, but in a year from now I wonder what would happen? will the rapists get capital punishment or go scot free after serving a couple of years of prison sentence and becoming hard core criminals to go back and do more harm to the society ....

There are 6 people who committed rape on her. They all are arrested and one of them is a sadist one and no humanity in his face when agreeing his fault.

This is horrible its shame that kids are not safe even in the schools. This is sick mentality and people like this should have no right to live in this world. :evil:

They never come out unless the matter is related to votes. While it's election time they somehow take opportunities to address 100s of meetings every day, shouting at opposition on full throttle with their foot on gas paddle right up to the floor..

No I don't agree with this! There are more instances of law enforcement agencies doing their best to catch the culprits only to be allowed to walk away free because of either loopholes in the laws or because of intervention by powerful politicians! Do you know that in the recent past, more than 25 accused of equally heinous rape and sexual assaults have been pardoned by Pratibha Patil when the court had passed the sentence of death by hanging? Only one accused from Kolkata has actually been hanged!

No I don't agree with this! I agree that the police are many times lured by bribe offered by the criminals including the rapists. But It is wrong to say that the President pardoned any. The President would have only commuted death sentence to life imprisonment. There are cases where ends of justice are met by life imprisonment. However there is need to change law on rape. This should be made more strict and harsh.
There is big protest all over India. More safeguards are needed for women's safety, particularly working women' and college going girls. Apart from change in law, there is greater need to change the mindset. Presently women are considered as more guilty and stigmatized even though they are victims whereas the offender is not affected.

Gender of the rapists must be changed. This can be the only solution to the problem. The tendency to rape and murder has become a common scenario in India since last 10 years. Many victims die without justice. Many rapists escape, etc.. God can stop this horrible incidents.

One way I feel that is, teach children the good and bad aspects of life. Male child must be taught to respect females, even the college goers must respect ladies.
