What we can do for stop rape cases, that increasing day by day?

The only way it can be stopped is by ensuring deterrent punishment for the offenders.
Severe punishment is the way which can discourage this ugly practice.

But girls should learn Judo-Karate to defend themselves.
It is a good to train girls in these martial arts for self-defence but the attitude of our law-enforcing agencies must change.
Yes. Girls should also learn something like the martial arts for self defence and strict law also should be enforced who are involved in these crimes. Even if strict law is enforced, if this crime is done by a guy who is related to some high officials in government, he will definitely escape from this.
Agreed. I can understand the feelings and the sufferings of the entire women community. But unfortunately as long these cruel cannibals get support from politicians there is no way these animals can be controlled and the law will never take its course. It is the responsibility of the people to immediately punish such animals in the same way we kill a stray dog.
I feel all the girls should be trained in such a manner that they become self defensive... when it comes to politicians just cast them away... not one of them has ever taken the initiative to stop this... and when it comes to police... they are the one who are real culprits... the accused should be executed mercilessly... the solution for this is educate the girls.... this problem has to be sorted out by girls only... they need to fight back.... they should be given a pistol... to defend... and killing by girls should be made legal.. all these Acts, laws. etc. are of no effect... do everything violently...
The main issue is not strong or light punishment for rape offenders. The main issue is social attitude towards rape. Rape is an offence like causing injury. While the victim is sympathized and offender punished, the rape victim becomes an object of ridicule and treated as if she has been dishonored. The rape should be treated like offence of causing injury and social attitude must change. The rape victim must not be subject to further social insult. The offender rapes once but the society, police and court repeatedly 'rape' her.
@Gulshan, you managed to put you finger on the crux of the matter!! unless the attitudes towards rapes is not changed..not much progress can be made!
By punishing the culprits is not enough for stopping such cases because they would be left by the court in one or the other way, the best way is that the girl should be self defensive, she should be taught self protection methods from the very early stages of her life so that nobody can dare to attempt the crime.
Aastha- suggestion for self defence is okay. But even the if rape take place, what should be done ? I think this is more important matter. The girl should not feel guilty and face the world with courage as if nothing happened. when you are hurt, what happens. simply with rape. We need to change our attitude to the rape victims.
By seeing overall discussion I think self defence is best way . It will help to take immediate action.
@Gulshan, you are absolutely right, that girl should be bold enough that she should face the world boldly with courage and has to make up her mind as nothing happened, and she should live happily. But it is solution of what she should do after rape, but the question here is how to prevent it. Because being a rape victim is not only the physical pain for a girl but more than that, a mental torture.
Astha is right. This pain for for whole life so its create blind in life.
It is true that the most painful part in the life of a victim of rape is the social stigma which paradoxically attaches to the victim not the offender!!
The girls should be also trained to face the trauma apart from physical resistance. Our movies are aslo responsible for this sort of mental agony. There was a Hindi film 'Insaaf ka Tarajoo' that depicted the trauma faced by raped woman. The raped girl is unable to attend the normal modelling assignment. she feels that after rape, she is totally worthless. Our girls should be trained that when they are not at fault, they must not feel shame and remain cool and active as if only a minor injury was inflicted. This is not to minimize the offence but only to give relief to the victim.
Gulshan you are right but being normal after rape is not possible for girls.
Good morning friends!
It is the difference in how the girls and boys are raised in India. Right from childhood, the girls are made to feel that it is their bodies that must be kept pure at all times and they are not given necesary lessons in self-esteem and self-respect. Hence such an incident forever tarnishes a girl's mind and soul and she feels responsible for the abuses inflicted on her!!
Nice Kalyani Nandurkar your though is good. Keep it up...........
I know this- Santosh. But we should make a beginning. Presently, rape is given so much significance that a raped girl is considered as 'having lost everything' and 'dishonoured'. But the boy is neither a 'loser of everything' nor 'dishonoured'. Rather, he feels that he is a 'conquerer'. This is what needs be changed. The current generations, particularly modern women can and I hope, will bring a change in this mentality.
